You can't go over either score. The strategy I think, is to low ball games with high totals. Like the people who bet $1 on the price is right.

I once nailed the total but did not get the prize, as I predicted 88-85 and the final score was 87-86. I was very upset, but after reading carefully the rules I understood that my pick did not qualify. So now I am benefited by the rule that screwed me the other time

The optimal strategy would be to EVERYONE pick a 1-0 final score, so all of us would get 50 points. That is, until some idiot want to shit everything and predict 2-0.

Ah, kind of like the Prisoner's Dilemma. Except, the inevitable jackass who would predict 2-0 has nothing extra to benefit from doing that. Well, aside from the thrill of jackassery.
