Points contests

Can we have points contests that don't require an account from JustBet or Looselines or assorted other books that I have no interest in signing up with?

I can sign up with false information, but why bother?

Sportsbooks love calling and sending mail to me that I don't want.

You would have to have been here at least 6 months and have at least 500 posts to join. That would eliminate a lot of the ghosts.

It doesn't bother me since I have every account that is used here. It would be nice to be able to just join though with your forum name.

These contests are ridiculous. I often do pretty well, but get nothing for my efforts because there are like 300 posters with less than 100 posts and less than 2 months here joining. Probably a few of them are ghosts, too.

There are plenty of contests that LT does that's just for points, no book involved. Cross-sport, weekly NFL, pick 15 bowl. I have cashed over 300 points since i've been here in the nfl weekly but bombed this week with fukin Jax+10

Those are not SBR-sponsored contests, though.

Problem is SBR doesn't sponsor them - The sportsbooks do. Hence the reason you need to sign up with a book.

It's makes the forum owners a few bucks, the sportsbooks a few customers, and they share the profits with the community in terms of points/prizes.

I can handle a few spam messages for the entertainment.

I guess, but it would make sense for them to offer prizes at their books if they're sponsoring a contest.

yisman i like the post and time limit on contests... this would eliminate double entries, i mean the bookies don't want double entries because they don't want someone creating two accounts with them anyway.
