I've been rather busy this year 
, and missed out on some of my usual fantasy leagues this year. Now as the season is days away, I'm finally getting that undeniable fluttery excitement for opening day, the one exclusive to nerdy fantasy footballers like myself... Not to mention a certain competitiveness that has instilled itself in me over years of fantasy football, sports betting, and poker.
So, I'm looking for some worthwhile contests to enter this year. I figure I've got about $500 to allot to this year's thrills... less would of course be fine.
In particular, I'm looking for:

In particular, I'm looking for:
- One or two old school "fantasy" contests where you select your own team, usually with some kind of salary cap system. I figure this will allow me to use my fantasy premonitions now that I'm too late to fully prepare for a draft. This is important though: I want a contest with a one-time fee, no hidden charges. I don't want to pay an initial entry fee and then have to pay for every single roster change, transaction, etc. throughout the rest of the season. I saw that Fanball.com has a fairly wide range of leagues of this time, but most of them seem to charge in-season fees. Is anyone playing there this year, or could anyone offer insight from past experiences?
- A survivor type contest (pick just one winner/loser each week...) for my first year ever. I'm sure plenty exist. Can anyone recommend a well-run, trustworthy one?
- Any free contests whatsoever. I know there is one free version at Fanball. I also saw some rather large contests at sportsco.com and ffoc.com. There was another that looked fun at fantasyfootballchampionship.com. Are any of these worthwhile? I'm sure I'm missing plenty, if any kind souls want to to toss out some names, websites, or brief breakdowns.
- Membership-based contests. I have accounts at 5Dimes, The Greek, BetJam, Diamond, Bookmaker, BetPheonix, Legendz, BetOnline, Bodog, etc.......... are any offering free promotional contests, pools, or even free/cheap promotional futures/bets for re-deposits?
I'll definitely be playing BTP, of course.
