I'm seeing weird lines like +8 etc when making selections. When added to the ticket or how to explain it the actual line shows.

Don't worry about it, will not be an issue for NFL/NCAAF. We just want to see if standings will be correct based on WINS and what order the tiebreakers are in naturally. Our ultimate goal is standings based on Wins with first tiebreaker being Action Points then units second. That way, no forcing + odds plays like last year.

SBR Drew lives on with his screwed up football contest. The only reason the tiebreakers were a problem were because non-PROs were included in weekly payouts. And why would you need a best bet if you were not going to use units? This seems even worse than last year.

If you are going to have weekly winners, those should be the free play winners and include the non-PROs in that. But then it doesn't really matter if you have people shooting for plus odds bets because nobody is going to care that much if cash money is not on the line. If you are going to pay out weeklies, it is going to be another mess no matter how you arrange it.

Non-Pros will not get ANY BTC this year. Non-Pros that finish FIRST PLACE ONLY in any week win free one-year SBR Pro membership, other non-pros are ignored in regards to weekly payouts, they only win free plays.

Oh and Best Bet still needed for two reasons: Units is still a tiebreaker and also for Pick 6 Bonus purposes,

Hmmm. Only a slight step forward. That contest was not unpopular last year just because of the plus odds deal. Nobody got any free plays and the standings were pretty much a waste. Didn't think SBR could screw that up again.

And we don't intend to. You see our goal in Post 8. And we are looking at expanding number of weekly winners too.

Everything comes at a cost. So the reason SBR Drew wanted weekly winners was because it made non-PROs more likely to win. It made it a lottery basically which is what he liked. But people don't want a lottery.

All the money winds up going to weekly winners and the free plays go to the interception returns and people get goosed for the whole year.

You need to make the standings count for something. Maybe I'll go 6-0 one week.

Seems this contest is pretty well set but there is always hope for better in the future. The reason the BTP contest was so popular is because almost everybody got something out of it. Everybody would wind up with free plays and would anticipate winning free plays at the least. With Pick 6, you lose one game and you are done. Even if you go 6-0, you get goosed. You go the whole year and get nothing.

Pick 6 will never measure up.
