RULES
- I will pick a starting pitcher from a game being played on Friday. Participants will try to guess how long the pitcher's outing will last as well as the details of his outing!
- All entries must be in before the listed game time of 7:05 ET. Any entry at 7:05ET or before will be valid, any entry at 7:06ET or after will NOT COUNT.
- All entries must be in the following format and must be made in THIS THREAD. Any entry that is not in the following format will not be valid;
Innings Pitched:
Earned Runs Allowed:
Strikeouts:
Hits surrendered:
Walks surrendered:
- "Innings Pitched" category should include 1/3s of innings. For example, not only can you select 6 innings and 7 innings, you can also select 6.1, 6.2, 7.1, and 7.2 as well. 6.1 = 6 innings, 1 out, 6.2 = 6 innings, 2 outs, etc.
- Whichever poster can get closest "innings pitched" to how far the pitcher really goes wins. So if one poster guesses 6.2 innings and the pitcher goes exactly 6.2 innings, and no other poster guessed correctly, the poster who guessed 6.2 innings wins.
- Other then innings pitched, all other guesses must be whole numbers (no decimals)
- If no one guesses the exact number, whoever comes closest wins. If the pitcher goes 6.2 innings, anyone who guessed 6.1 innings or 7.0 innings is 1 out away, 6.0 innings or 7.1 innings are two outs away, etc.
- If two (or more) posters are tied in how far they were from guessing the innings pitched, the next tiebreaker is earned runs. So if the pitcher gave up 3 earned runs, 3 runs is exactly correct, 2 and 4 runs are 1 run away, 1 and 5 are 2 runs away, etc.
- If two (or more) posters are still tied after earned runs, the tie-breaking system will continue to strikeouts. If still tied, hits, and then finally walks.
- If two (or more) posters are still tied after all 5 tiebreakers, they will split the prize.
