Wow. Unbelieveable. I won 1st place ($500) in week 1 & was in the money ($200) on another week. I've thought about going opposite of my gut feel but never did. I guess as long as I go with the pick I truly believe in, I should be okay. This has been a great contest.

TLD didn't play this week.

I decided to play it conservative this week in an effort to finish in the top 3 for one of the trips, Aces.

If I sit where I am, there are only three people (besides yourself) who can finish ahead of me. njschimpf will by having a .500 or better week, and batlak and/or Don Dollars will by going 4-0.

Two of those three things have to happen for me to drop out of the top 3.

Don Dollars has simplified things by, surprisingly, not playing today. And njschmipf and batlak overlap three of their four picks.

So basically, if batlak hits a four team parlay, njschimpf finishes second, batlak third, and me fourth. Otherwise I'm in the top 3.

BC was a hugely popular play. Almost everyone in the top 10 or so either passed today, or took BC.

With BC going down, that clinches a top 3 finish for me. If njschimpf can go 2-0-1 or better the rest of the weekend, then he takes 2nd and I take 3rd. Otherwise I take 2nd, and 3rd is still in play (though njschimpf is still a significant favorite for it).

With Don Dollars passing and locked in at 18, we know it’ll take at least that many points for 3rd. Multiple people who started the week in the mid teens passed (presumably to ensure they’d finish ahead of Mr. Prick and remain eligible for prize money?); it’ll be interesting to see if they miss out on a chance at Hawaii by doing so.

And of course ol’ Aces just gets to sit back and enjoy watching the mad scramble below him.
