Hey lost, this one really isn't Mex's fault at all (as I think you agree since you were criticizing the rules and not Mex). He is a very fair guy and wasn't trying to play favorites or anything, I'm sure he just saw these as two different scenarios.
When shhhh22 picked Mets ML -165, that pick was not a clear pick, because the -165 was the price on the RL but he typed ML, so it wasn't clear which one he meant. As opposed to Juuso's case where he made a clear parlay; unfortunately it just wasn't the one that he wanted.
I agree with you; the rules are far from perfect. I did the best I could with them but needless to say they still don't cover everything. I'll try to tweak them a bit moving forward; any suggestions you have would be greatly appreciated.
In regards to each of the cases today:
shhhh22: This is a rule I'll definitely have to add in, because he clearly could have meant either one here. To stay consistant with the way this has been graded in the past though, I will let the play stand as NYM moneyline. In the past (and currently), if a player lists only the play "NYM ML" OR lists the play with the wrong number (shantystar has done this in the past), I have let the play stand and me or Mex have added in the correct number. As such, "NYM ML" was the play, and the -165 was the typo. Like I said, I'll add clarification to this, but as is, it stands.
Juuso: This one is definitely tricky and I apologize that you are getting stuck with a play you didn't want. MexStallion pointed out we made Sam keep his play in a similar instance;
The big difference here is that Juuso ASKED if it was okay, it wasn't a statement like Sammy's was. Unfortunately there isn't really a happy solution here: either I have to say "since the second one is a question I'll let only the first play stand", or I have to let both stand. Since the one Juuso WANTED was the correction, and since technically every play posted is official according to the rules, I'm going to agree with Mex's ruling and the way that the rules are currently written that both plays stand. Sorry for the inconvinience Juuso!
Chi_Archie: Yes, replacing the Cards play with the Jays play was fine; since the Cards parlay was no action due to the fact that it had already started, making a seperate legal parlay with the Jays this time works for me.
Sorry for the long winded post! Thank you all for your contributions. If you have any questions or comments, or any suggestions on how to make the rules any more clear, feel free to PM me or post them here. Thanks guys and good luck tonight!
