MLB Weekly Handicapping Contest - 4/28

    Entry Fee is 15 points.

This contest starts Monday, 4/28/14 and ends Sunday, 5/4/14. You must make a minimum of 30 and a maximum of 45 MLB Plays. Contest includes Money Lines, Totals and Run Lines. All plays must be rated from 1 to 5, and the rating will be the BASE amount, so you will be playing To Win if odds are "-" and .Risk if odds are "+". Standings will be based on UNITS.

Note: If there is a tie in units, first tiebreaker will be Winning Percentage, second tiebreaker will be Action Points (Totals and Run Lines only). If still tied after Action Points, the prizes will be split.

Point allocation depends on number of entries:

Hi LT, I'm just wondering and what time are the odds/lines etc available to actually place the picks on the contest page? I'm based in the UK and would like to know for future reference

Normally, shortly after the lines come out at Bookmaker, so some time the night before the games. However, we are currently experiencing difficulties with contest feeds for MLB and NHL, which is why there are no games available in those sports. Techs are looking into it.

LT, what does the 'action' column refer to on the rankings table?

It is the second tiebreaker after winning percentage. Action Points is how much you beat Totals or Run Lines by. So if you bet Over 8 and game lands on 11, you get +3. If you bet Under 7.5 and game lands on 9, you get -1.5 If you bet -1.5 run line and team loses 4-3, that is -2.5, etc... It applies only to Totals and Run Lines, so guys that play Money Lines only will always have 0.
