Congrats to blackbart: New 128 Man Champion!
The smoke has cleared and only one man remains.
A man that wasn't always tested during this handicapping tournament, relying on his infinite amount of contest savvy.
He was down six units and change at one point to SBR forum poster Robyn. How did he respond? By Mark McGuiring the everloving wind out of his opponents sails as he raddled off a stream of consecutive winners, and the sheer intimidation of playing such a contest legend caused Robyn to dismiss herself in one of the most monumental collapses in SBR contest history.
Then there were two in his sights, two more matches and blackbart would have proven all along that he was the best bet this tournament, that luck is no substitute for contest savvy, for skill, and for determination. As it turned out, only SBR forum posters aguy and bestplay2day would have a shot at stopping our Champion to be, and each faltered like a malfunctioning computer with a bad stick of RAM.
To say blackbart deserved this wouldn't be accurate, he earned it.
The final score read blackbart 5-5 -0.24 vs bestplay2day 4-6 -2.23.
blackbart isn't alone in deserving rejoice, the Final 32 of 128 contestants all cashed in a piece of the prize. Congratulations to our runner up in Bestplay2day, our final four which included jayc88 and aguy, our Elite Eight of Robyn, Gm2022, Sharktank1, and Fearless. Our Sweet 16 of brock, patvenditto, treece, jackpot269, pico, Sinister Cat, MartinBlank, yellowdragon. Our final 32 of oakas, verbalkint, wannabet, hockeyman30304, jillmark, InTheHole, TheJer, Louisvillekid, RiverRaid, SlickFazzer, thadchr, dlwe2k, Kingtb27, SportsLockPicks, onofrei_andrei, and last but most certanily not least Monkeyf0cker.
