Not a very good tie breaker rule. You don't want to invite people to post bs. Plus you don't want to give the tiebreaker to the same people all the time.

Instead, why not take the separate digits in the total posts, and add them up to any two digit number. For instance, onlooker's 7467 would become 7+4+6+7 = 24. SBRJohn's would be 2+6+1+4 = 13. To illustrate the difference, at 7471 (18) the advantage can swing to 2638 (19).

You could continue until you have 1 digit (as in 7+4+6+7 = 24 = 2+4 = 6), but that would level the playing field too much in favor of newbies.

Then draw a number out of a hat, and the post count that comes closest wins the tie breaker.

My suggestion is that once someone has won the top weekly prize by the most posts tiebreaker, the next time it should go to the person with the 2nd highest most posts, therefore always rewarding long standing active members and so on down the line ... Maybe possibly capping it at a certain # before starting over.
