I've seen several posters posting the following for the contest:

"When the lines come out, I want Lakers -11" or whatever they want.

If you post that, does it stand as a pick?

I think it should because it's unfair to ask busy people to wait by their computer until the lines are posted.

The Rules clearly state "All lines Must be used from the Daily Lines thread".

If we allowed people to 'reserve picks', it'd defeat the purpose of Daily Lines. NBA cards are not up a full day in advance, so they're posted the morning of the games, and most times the first game is at 7:00PM EST.

NFL is posted on Friday's, which is a full day and now two days before they occur on Sundays, so there's a reasonable timeframe to make the time to check the Daily Lines.

It's not possible to get basketball up any sooner, NBA/NCAAB go up fully day of game and NCAAB totals come out even later.
