Amazing it looked like another 1-0 type game and then they scored two goals in 18 seconds. I think that's huge for Vegas they needed to see one go in the back of the net to get some confidence that they can score on Talbot.

The NHL retested players from the St. Louis Blues and Vegas Golden Knights on Wednesday after false positive results for COVID-19 were reported from one U.S.-based lab on Tuesday.
Wednesday's retests confirmed that the originals were in error, the league said, and all players involved were made available for their next games.

Malkin could return for Penguins in Game 3 against Islanders

Forward missed first two with injury; series tied

Evgeni Malkin could play Game 3 of the Stanley Cup First Round against the New York Islanders on Thursday (7 p.m. ET; NBCSN, SN360, MSG, MSG+, ATTSN-PT).

The center will travel with the Penguins and will likely be a game-time decision for a third straight game. Malkin has missed the first two with an undisclosed injury.
Pittsburgh evened the best-of-7 series with a 2-1 win in Game 2 on Tuesday after losing Game 1 4-3 in overtime Sunday.
Before missing Game 1, Malkin practiced Saturday but did not take line rushes or participate in power-play drills. On Monday, Malkin stayed on the ice for 46 minutes after practice, mostly working with skills coach Ty Hennes.
The Penguins did not practice Wednesday, when they traveled to New York. Malkin and goalie Casey DeSmith (lower body), who did not travel, did not skate Wednesday, coach Mike Sullivan said.
Malkin missed 23 games with a lower-body injury before returning May 3 against the Philadelphia Flyers. He remained on the bench for the final 8:48 of the season finale after feeling he tweaked something against the Buffalo Sabres on May 8.
Jeff Carter has played second-line center in place of Malkin the first two games of the series.
Malkin scored 28 points (eight goals, 20 assists) in 33 regular-season games.

Midway through the first period of Game 1 this evening, Tavares was innocently checked to the ice near the blue line by Montreal defenseman Ben Chiarot. The play was totally legal, and didn’t appear to be of any major concern.
However, while Tavares was down, he was accidentally hit in the head by the knee of Canadiens forward Corey Perry, who was skating by. Tavares was immediately shaken up and attended to by medical personnel.
Tavares tried to sit up on the ice, but as he did, he immediately began collapsing backwards in clear distress. A stretcher was eventually brought out.

Montreal Toronto series espn consensus was 16 out of 16 for Toronto, which probably means Leafs will lose series in game 7 OT.

Colorado Avalanche center Nazem Kadri has been suspended for eight playoff games for a "high, forceful check" to the head of St. Louis Blues defenseman Justin Faulk on Wednesday night.
The NHL called Kadri, who served the first game of his suspension on Friday night, "a player with a substantial disciplinary record," as this is the sixth suspension of this career -- three of them coming in the playoffs.

Draisatl and McDavid in 6th and 7th seasons and they've won one playoff series. Looks like another early exit.

I don't know about that. I love betting hockey but just watching it is great too. Plenty of action and its non stop unlike some of the other sports.

I'm a little pissed because I bet them and thought it was in the bag when they went up 4-1 so I started watching something else and when I checked back on the Edmonton game Winnipeg tied it up. I know this isn't the biggest shock in the world to see Edmonton down 3-0 but I really thought they'd win today.
