I think this chase system puts doubt in linesmaker minds as to if previous winners are going to push the envelope as hard, as the bonus points for extra wins are almost no incentive as they only count in round 1 and 3 or 6 or 9 bonus points are unlikely to make the difference over 3 races.

To be clear, Ricciardo was a significantly smaller bet and my net profit for the race if he wins would only be about 1.3 units. It would not be some massive windfall unfortunately.

Unlucky not to cash that one. Ricciardo switched to wrong tire strategy mid race whilst dominating.

there were previous races where qualifying washed out and they counted place differential there

just to expound on that, I've been playing fox for 3 or 4 years and I don't recall ever seeing PD not counted


qualifying gets rained out a few times a year
