Good all star race! Denny ran away with it there in the end. I thought Kasey Kane was the gonna be the guy to beat. Great strategy played by a lot of teams. And poor Danica just can't catch a break.

Well it is part of one event, the "10 Days of Thunder" that includes the 600 on Memorial Day Sunday.

I think the venue is a big part of it for the teams.

2 weeks at 'home' for a lot of them. And the main chance their families have to come.

Although I have noticed for the last 2 years a lot of the focus on crew member families seems to have dropped off.

The pit crew challenge was a good thing along those lines that just disappeared.

Yeah, definitely agree Opti. That pit crew challenge was cool. I think more segments or longer segments would add more excitement. And a 10 lap shoot out is really a done deal if you're the lead car and get a great start. Why not make it a 25 lap shoot out.

New format should be

5 segments of 30 laps

After each segment last 2 drivers are eliminated

After the fourth segment pit stop is optional giving teams a chance to gamble

Yeah, kinda ironic, they changed the car design to make the cars faster, now they have to roll back the horsepower because the cars are literally flying through the air.
