With all the reports coming out on Trestman, I'm not sure how any of you idiot meatballs can blame Cutler for this Bears' season. The entire locker room hated Trestman. Quit on him 7 weeks ago.

Yeah. 14 points. All 14 off turnovers. Really gutted it out.

Trestman wanted Cutler to be a volume passer and it failed miserably. Now he's gone and if Chicago gives Cutler another chance and if he'll have another bad season, he's done. Just like Mario Balotelli.

Funny thing is Cutler's QB rating ended up almost exactly the same as the prior season and pretty much line with where it's been his entire career.

He was actually worse in 2009 and 2010.

If they keep Cutler and he repeats the stats from the last 2 years, who else would they be able to get that would give them a better option ? Keep in mind they need to fill many holes on defense before the next season starts as well.

That's really hard to predict. Lot of ifs actually. If they want him to be a franchise QB, he stays. If they don't, then they'll have to trade him. Then a question is, which team is a best fit for Cutler? I've heard Texans and Rams but I don't believe in it atm. If Cutler goes, which QB will they start? Clausen? Anybody else from some other NFL team? As you said and you're spot on, they need to fix the Swiss cheese that's their D.

Cutler been the same QB for several years now, he is what he is. Don't see an huge leap in performance or huge dropoff anytime soon.
