#108John Fox hates rookies, which was the main reason they went to Moreno instead of Hillman last year to start after McGahee went down. Now....Footballguys view: Hillman got all of the reps with the first team, so his stock should be on the rise, while Montee Ball's stock continues to slide. We'll be monitoring this situation with Cecil Lammey on site at Dove Valley, but for now it looks like Hillman is the Denver back to draft.Originally posted by infamousbacardiSuch a weird situation there in Denver.
Hillman was just awful anytime last year he got 10+ carries in a game.
His only real good week came in week 8 against the awful Saints where he went for 14 carries and 86 yards...
Otherwise it was:
10 carries 31 yards week 4
12 carries 43 yards week 12
14 carries 29 yards week 15
We'll see what happens. I'd avoid that Denver backfield if I could. I do think Montee Ball is the guy to own there though in a later round pick situation.Comment -

#113Torrey Smith will get smothered every play, Ray Rice goes up more in value now as he'll probably get more receptions, offsetting a few lost carries per game to Pearce.Originally posted by wquineand now pitta is gone! wtf, that changes a lot of things. going to look at baltimore wrs now.Comment -

#116Is Bernard Pierce going to steal a lot of carries this year again? #118Yeah, I prefer holding my draft he weekend before the Thursday opener. Maclin and Pitta will not be the last of the season ending injuries before the opener either.Originally posted by Straight CashInjuries like this are why I'll never understand why people hold their draft in July (or even the first few weeks of Aug for that matter).Comment -

#120Rice had problems with holding the rock last year especially whjen they were nearing the redz one and that was a big reason why pierce took a lot of carries, with the work load he's going to get, pierce should get a lot in again this year..Originally posted by onlookerIs Bernard Pierce going to steal a lot of carries this year again? There were times Pierce got a few series to run the ball. Or when the Ravens were backed up deep in own territory it seemed like.
I think it was more to keep Rice fresh, but it was so damn frustrating, from a fantasy prospective.

#125You can consider early drafts "practice" for later drafts. Mocks are cool but they can't really replicate drafting for real as much as they intend to. You always get some auto-picks or flat out idiots.Originally posted by Straight CashInjuries like this are why I'll never understand why people hold their draft in July (or even the first few weeks of Aug for that matter).Comment -
