Hey gang! Did you guys read and see the 2 part espn mini documentary on Bill France Sr.'s creation of the Daytona Speedway? Pretty awesome stuff! There's old black and white photos and video footage of some of the first races on Daytona Beach. It's a wonder a bunch of fans and racers weren't killed with the way those old heavy Chevys and Fords zipped around on that sandy raceway! And you were taking you own life in your hands being a member of a pit crew in those days!

I love the scene where the pit reporter is holding a bottle of Coca cola and he's talk'in about Lee Roy Yarbrough losing a lap because of a tire puncture, he pours the coke on the the tire and it immediately starts spurting up where the hole is at. Those old super cars were the shit back then! Man, to be a fan back then and attend a race before all the rules and restrictions had to be a blast!

There another cool scene where a guy is talking about how Bill France Sr. got kicked outta the Indianapolis garage area during a race, which planted the seed for Daytona! The guy stated that Bill France Sr. had that "I'll show you bastards", and built one of the best super speedways to rival Indy and all others. I'm certainly glad he did, we've seen some epic races there along with a ton of heartbreak. All a part of it I guess, gotta take the good with the bad. Excellent story of the true origins of a great sport, definitely worth checking out.

Yeah Yisman i've always bet you 100 for the last few years every race, a few weeks ago I was in a situation where I couldn't even change my team, and of course that week I had a driver who wasn't even racing( Vickers). I didn't even confirm that week I was in, but if you check the history, I sent you 100 cause its a standing bet. I do like to always confirm but I miss doing it no worries i'll pay. Ok guys it time for us to go for what we know, a lot of GREAT Nascar Cappers here, lets finish Strong.
