The SBR "I missed the playoffs" Venting Thread
well it's about time, the playoffs are more or less here and a lot of seeds are determined already with some still in limbo. i will be missing the playoffs in my big money league this year unfortunately (although i am 2nd seed in my smaller money league with a bye).

i needed too many things to go right in this last week, so even though i won, i am still 6-7 in a 3 way tie, and unfortunately the 6th seed has same record more points than me (i will be 7th seed...damn). our team had a lot of parity this year, only 1 team with 8 wins, the rest are 7 and 6. it's really ironic for me because i finally got my lineup set to where i wanted it, and i think i couldve done some real damage in the playoffs had i made it:

    qb- brady
    rb- rice and bryce
wr- m. austin, stevie johnson, pierre garcon
    te- tony gonz
    flex- demarco murray
    k- d. bailey
    def- cardinals

how are you guys faring in your playoff persuits? anyone on the outside looking in like me?

I'm not really sure what my chances are actually. I thought for sure I'd at least make the playoffs but I'm in 3rd now and I'll most likely lose this week. Made 2 bad moves by including Jordy Nelson and Davone Biatch. The 2 teams below me will prob win so we'll all be tied with the same record. Not sure how it works after that.

Backed into the playoffs in one league, finished with 3 straight losses. Probably one and out.

Wont make the playoffs in another league, even though I finished the season with 5 wins in a row. I really screwed myself in this league and cost myself huge 2-3 weeks of making bad decisions. Most notably, I benched Adrian Peterson week 1 for Sydney Rice. Lost by 2.

shari, do only the top 4 make it in your league? that is really tough...and jordy and davone were good plays, obviously hindsight is 20-20 but they let a lot of people down thats for sure

convick, you never know man, you may lose 4 in a row, get in the playoffs, and win it all...its a whole new season and all you have to do is make it...which is why im so bummed, my team was very mediocre all year but its finally come on strong but too little too late...injuries and ineffectiveness really derailed my start, just goes to show that every win counts

I'll probably be posting in this thread a week from now. Have lost 3 straight weeks and a 4th will see me miss the playoffs.

Bad play from my starting QB (Matt Ryan) and some crucial lineup decisions have cost me. Have lost by 5, 2 and 6 points the last 3 weeks.

Not making the playoffs with this lineup. Deep bench shouldve pulled a trade but nobody in my league was willing. RB and Matt Ryan killed me.

Yeah it's top 4. I'll probably still have the most points for in the whole league but I'm not sure if that even means anything. Can't find the scoring stuff for the playoffs anywhere. Pisses me off because I sat Lance Moore and Green-Ellis. Even James Jones would've been better! This is one of the only weeks that I thought I'd read the player scouting reports and whatever... should've just stuck with what I had.

shari, not sure if your league is different at all, but usually the way it works is W/L record, then points, then head to head tiebreaker...if you have more points scored than they do for the entire year, then you will make the playoffs ahead of them. this is why points are equally as important as your record in fantasy football

I am in a 12 team league where only 4 teams make the playoffs. Stupid BS rules and I won't be playing in that one next year.

I'm in a 10 team league and will most likely make it (as long as some weird stuff doesn't happen tonight on MNF). My team is absolutely stacked right now thanks to the waiver wire and some of my guys getting healthy. I'll probably have a thread tomorrow about which RB's I should start next week, probably will be my hardest choice of the fantasy year.

Heck I'd have done the same thing with rice going against the bears, I'm also gonna miss the playoffs so what do I know!

seeing garcon have a big game was even more painful...my team loaded up down the stretch, went 3-1 in my last 4 games, but still just wasnt enough to make it. i got bryce brown, d. murray, and garcon all on my squad recently, and knowshon moreno for depth, i have a great team to make a run but unfortunately im playing in the toilet bowl

                                8th place 6-7.

                                QBs: RG III, Newton, Luck
                                WRs: Decker, Nicks, Lance Moore

                                DEF: Seattle

I had the 2nd most points in my league. Just Terrible luck.

also, the #1 scorer in our league went 6-7 and missed the playoffs by 5 points, getting the 7th seed. what a crazy year

When Gronk went down for NE and Eli Manning decided to play shit football three weeks in row, I knew I was toast! First lose my one my best players and then a Manning who couldn't complete a pass to save his life! Never should have traded Payton! See ya next year.
