Calvin Johnson - WR - Lions

Pro Football Weekly reports Calvin Johnson (questionable, knee) may be limited to third-down situations if he's active for Week 9 at Jacksonville.

Per PFW's Eric Edholm, Johnson is a true game-time decision, and it sounds like his snaps may be limited if he goes. Of course, the Lions could increase Megatron's role at any given moment if his adrenaline is kicking early in the game and he's racking up catches against a Jacksonville secondary that will be minus at least two starting defensive backs, and possibly three. Keep an eye on updates Sunday morning. Johnson should still be penciled into fantasy lineups.

Impossible to sit him if he is going to play. Just have to pray. Would rather him be ruled inactive before kickoff but if he is active he is playing for my teams.

yea that is is a idea too. Broyles a great start if Megatron is inactive. Even if he is active still a good flex play in PPR leagues

If you have Calvin you have to play him. If you don't, Young and Broyles are now viable options.

ESPN's Chris Mortensen reported on Sunday Countdown that Calvin Johnson (knee, questionable) is expected to start Sunday's game at Jacksonville.

Mort said nothing about a limited role, or Johnson perhaps only playing on third downs, as Pro Football Weekly suggested in a Saturday report. "League sources say he is determined to play and is expected to start," Mort reported Sunday morning. Look for Johnson to be active and start against the Jags, with his exact snap count perhaps being determined on a game-flow basis. We'd recommend keeping Megatron locked into fantasy lineups.

Lions beat writer Tim Twentyman expects Calvin Johnson (knee, questionable) to play on Sunday against the Jaguars.

Megatron missed practice all week, but head coach Jim Schwartz expressed confidence that the star receiver would still manage to suit up and start. On Saturday, Pro Football Weekly reported that Johnson could be limited to third downs. Regardless, if he's playing, then Megatron is a lock for fantasy lineups. Inactives will be released around 11:30AM ET, so we should know Johnson's fate shortly.
