#218Mississippi State vs. Kentucky: When I first saw the line on this game, I damn near crapped my pants. It shocked the hell out of me, because this line is off by at least 10 pts. This game is going to be played at 7:00 EDT in Lexington, KY. However, IT WILL NOT MATTER ONE BIT! Now some of you may say '10 pts is a lot to be laying on the road in the SEC'. Normally, that would be the case, but not in this situation. Kentucky is ranked 111th in offense (116th in passing & 71st in rushing). They are also ranked nearly 70th in defense. Now let's take a look at Miss. St....they are ranked 38th in rushing and 19th in defense. How in the hell are the Wildcats going to score? Also, Kentucky allows over 200 yds/gm rushing (which is Miss. St.'s strength). The Bulldogs are coming off of a bye (with a loss before that to S. Caro.) and are desparate for a conference win. Not to mention, they have only 3 wins for the year and need 3 more to become bowl eligible. After looking at their remaining schedule, they will most likely win only 3 more games (including this one). All the motivation is clearly on the side of Miss. St. Can you say B-L-O-W-O-U-T? Kentucky has zero talent and it's going to rear its ugly head once again in this game. The Bulldogs are going to dismantle the 'Cats and it won't be pretty. My prediction: Miss. St. 35 Kentucky 10.

You make some good points. But, UK's defense is not as bad you may think(they have two of the best defensive players in the SEC in Danny Trevathan and Winston Guy). The stats are skewed because the defense is on the field for the majority of the game. Yes, UK's offense has been absolutely horrible, but I don't think it will be as big of a blowout as you make it out to be. There is not much talent on the offensive side of the ball and we have lost what spark we did have when Josh Clemons went out for the year. Now it looks like Raymond Sanders wont play also. Morgan Newton has a big arm, but is lacking confidence(due to receivers not being able to catch the ball!). There is much hype surrounding this game as the cats have just come off a much needed win and will be breaking out the black jerseys and calling for a "blackout" from the fans. This is the most important game thus far for the cats and Joker Phillips job may be on the line. There is motivation on the cats side also, expect them to play hard. I think the spread is right on.Comment -

With all due respect Cjjohn, I like Mississippi State LARGE. I have watched Kentucky play 3 times this year and they lack talent in a major way. The Bulldogs are hungry and UK is just what they need to get back on track. Sorry my friend, but I don't think the Wildcats can hang for 4 quarters. I would be amazed if Kentucky were to lose by single digits.Comment -

#229CBASS, I think you nailed this one. Great analysis! I am with you all the way. Hey, how do you feel about Clemson vs. Georgia Tech. I really like Georgia Tech in this situation at +4.5 at home AND Clemson is 0-4 away after scoring more than 35 or more points vs opp off a DD SU loss. Would appreciate any lean you have. Thanks buddy!Comment -

Thanks Greyraptor! I am going to stay clear of a side in that Clemson game, but I lean Over for what it's worth. I agree with Mstone too. BOL this weekend friend.

#231As an avid ACC watcher (I'm a VT fan) all I can say is watch out for a Clemson collapse. Not only does Clemson always have atleast 1 let down game, every team in the ACC does each year. This week at GT seems likely but it really depends how GT responds after 2 losses in a row. I havent't been fading clemson but I have been tempted to each week bc I am counting on their let down at some point.
I totally agree. It is just so hard to fade Clemson, because their ATS record is outstanding.Comment -

#238MStone and CBass thank you for your insight! Stone you mentioned ACC teams collapsing and VA wins last night as a 14 point dog! WOW. Well, I am calling for a Clemson let down this weekend but just a small play on GA Tech + the points. I agree with the over in this game as well. You guys rock and BOL to both of you!Comment -

#239Unfortunately I think you are right. I am an Ohio State fan but as a fan I have watched them play all year and I just don't see how they cover this game. They have a good solid defense but their offense cannot possibly keep up with the likes of Wisconsin. Especially with a pissed off Wisconsin team coming off a loss as a favorite.Comment -
