    Sharp Money? Really?
I see most people talking about Sharps Money? Do you really know what that means? And how do you know where Sharps are betting their money? I play at Bookmaker where 1000's of other play and my regular bet is $400-$500, but I have made large bets and I have instantly notice line moving by half a point? Does that mean I am a Sharp?

For example, during NBA and WNBA seasons, on half time bets, I've bet $1000 and $2000 and immediately line moves 1/2 point against me. What does that mean?

REMEMBER, BOOKS want to balance the action. They are happy with JUICE. Don't go too much into Sharp money thing. The purpose of the line is to get even action and make money of the JUICE. Some people here or should I say KIDS make me laugh.

I have noticed the same thing at bookmaker. I once bet $3000 on a golf matchup and line moved .20 instantly, not sure if it was due to my bet though

this isn't always the case... if that was the purpose, lets just take the NFL Week 3 for example, out of 16 games, 11 have over 65% of the action on one team... thats about 70% of games that dont have even action ...

You are talking just one week. Vegas make lines to make the matchup even. Its up to the bettors where and how they bet it. The goal of Vegas is to get even action but obviously it doesn't happen all the time.

Sharps are fiction. Money is money. There are people that know what they are doing when they bet and people that don't. I don't care if you bet 50 dollars or 5000 dollars. There are people that don't know what they are doing no matter what size bet you put in. You don't have to bet a lot of money to be considered a "sharp". Lines move to the money.
