                  In American roulette you for the same bet you have 18 numbers that can win for you and 20 that can lose for you.

                  You do the math.

                  Also, in Euro roulette ther's a guy who sits on a chair near the wheel and slightly elevated above it, and watches over the players and croupiers to make sure no one's cheating/making mistakes, he/she also has a long stick and smacks players who don't tip enough.
