Has anyone ever just been at the right place at the right time, and won money that you never expected to win, or go on a lucky hot streak, or catch an absurd amount of great cards, ect? What is your story? Here is mine.. this happened just a few weeks ago.
So it's May 1st on a Friday afternoon and I'm gambling with the Pops. I lose a Miami Heat bet where they play like crap against the Hawks. Disgusted and semi-irritated with D-Wade's supporting cast, I leave the sportsbook to find my Dad who hasn't had much luck playing slot machines, but miraculously comes back from -$400 down to break even. He tells me that we should go back home to take a quick break and come back to the casino in a little bit. He randomly gives me a Franklin and lets me know that I should play bingo with it, boldly stating that we are going to win big tonight. I sheepishly agree of course not really taking bingo seriously at all, although I'll admit I've never seen my Pops so adamant about this foreseen bingo victory. I've played before but maybe no more than 10 times or less, and I've usually just been so drunk from all the free drinks that I'm always a winner in my book. I have thoughts of using the free c-note for maybe some blackjack and another sports bet.
So we go back and hit up the bingo room. He asks me for my Benjamin and I give it to him wondering if he's going to spend the entire amount on my bingo game. He does, and gives me my automated machine to play on.
There's a lot of people playing because they are all chasing this progressive jackpot that has been building for a couple months now. It is called a cashball. If you get a bingo on the specific ball that gets drawn at the beginning of the session, you win the progressive jackpot. For this bingo session the cashball is N34.
The first game is a double hardway which means you can't use the free space to get a bingo. As my numbers get called one by one, I realize that one of my games is being setup to possibly be able to win on N34. Suddenly, I'm actually waiting for N34 to bingo. In my head I think... cashball.. cashball... cashball....
With no winner yet, the bingo caller draws out the number N34. Silently ecstatic, I see it on the TV screen before she even says it. I wait a split second after she calls N34 so I can have my little movie moment. I scream bingo and the whole room erupts with gasps and chattering.
After the session, I get a stack of hundreds loaded up in an envelop and walk out of the bingo room having just won $13,000 dollars.
