    roulette theory
anyone else do something like this?... I watch the wheel and guess in my head, I wait until I have guessed wrong 4-5 times in a row, then go up and bet

that way Im not betting on weither the wheel will be red/black, even/odd or whatever based on past rolls (which doesnt influence wither that roll will be whatever)

but Im betting on my own luck of guessing a close to 50/50 bet wrong 4-5 times in a row.

... It makes sense in my head, lol

the fact that you've guessed wrong however many times in a row before doesn't affect your probability of guessing the next one right because each roll is an independent event--a lot of people use the same logic if one color has come up a lot thinking that there is a very small probability the wheel would have 5 reds in a row or something like that so they bet black. unfortunately it just doesn't work like that

ok, it just doesnt seem like the same logic, i understand each roll being independent and what it landing on before having no impact on what it lands on next, but...

me betting against the odds of someone guessing a coin flip 4,5,6 times in a row, seems different

but you've already guessed 5 in a row. guessing the next one is not guessing 6 in a row. it's guessing 1 in a row.

Is it true that in order to make a right guessing.. a calm atmosphere is needed?
Did any of you got affected by this somehow?
