    Manny Gamburyan -170

After Manny's fight vs Nunes, I told myself I'm done betting on this guy. But I can't help but pass betting him in this fight, as I think is the best stylistic match-up for him. I was hoping to get him as a +200 dog and pound it, but the books were a lot smarter than I thought. This fight is a gift for Manny to get back on the winning side of things. He's been beating up Japanese judokas since he was a kid. He will control Omigawa in the grappling, and will also have an advantage in the stand-up. Manny's got a powerful overhand right, and that is a weakness for Omigawa. Omigawa has two things to look out for: Manny's right hand and his superior grappling/judo. This really is Manny's fight to lose, and if he does lose, he most certainly deserves to be cut. He has been training for this fight harder than previous fights, and is more motivated than he has been in a long time. It might be because he is fighting at home in front of all his family in Los Angeles. In any case, I love this match-up for him, and it will be my biggest play of the night.

Are you concerned about his shoulder?
Are you fading omigawa? Did you really think +200?

Shoulder is always a concern, but I'm not worried about it.

                        No, not fading Omigawa. No, I didn't think +200, I hoped +200.

Interesting to see this take on Manny/Omigawa. I actually think Omigawa's grappling is easily good enough to neutralize Manny's grappling. I do think Manny's overhand right is something to always watch for, but he's starting to really telegraph his striking. I think it will probably end up being a close decision with Omigawa avoiding a lot of Manny's bombs and a lot of clinch stalemates. I think the big deciding factor will be if Manny's aggressiveness overshadows Omigawa's offense (or lack thereof).

In a Judo match, Manny would win.

In a BJJ match, Manny would win.

In a wrestling match, I think Manny would win.

In a boxing match, Manny would win.

In an MMA match, Manny should win.

                            Big play for me.

                                Jamie Varner +100

I think Jamie gets the better of Joe in an exciting first round, then completely takes over in rounds 2 and 3, either winning by sinking in a rear naked choke or cruising to a decision. If it gets to a decision, round 3 will be all Varner. I think he will be smart enough to avoid the early onslaught by Lauzon. He'll avoid the submission attacks and press his game on. I think this is his fight, and believe he should be -200.

Huge JMMA fan here. I expect Omigawa to win the fight and lose the decision. I then expect Gabe to explain why it wasn't a bad decision when every online site scores it for Omigawa. That is my prediction.

Why would I win a bad decision and say it was the right call? I've won tons of bad decisions where I felt I dodged a bullet, i.e. Shields vs Akiyama.

I think Ring beat McGee and online sites saw it that way, too, but most fans seem to think McGee won. Point being, online judging doesn't mean shit.

I think Ring beat McGee and online sites saw it that way, too, but most fans seem to think McGee won. Point being, online judging doesn't mean shit.
If you had money on McGee, there is no doubt in my mind you would have come on here and said McGee won.

Having money on a fight doesn't make me score the fight favorably for the guy I've got money on. If anything, I give close rounds to the opponent. Stay out of my thread with your dumb shit.

I didn't say I haven't bet on guys who lost where I thought they won. For instance, I thought Brookins beat Koch and Bisping beat Sonnen. Doesn't mean I always score the fight for who I had money on. More often than not, it's the other way around. I score against the guy I bet on, and he ends up winning. i.e. Shields vs Akiyama and Sadollah vs Lopez.
