Said the same thing for along time now......when they put him up against Romero I knew how they felt about him....its like they want someone who can speak English lol....

he beat romero imo 2-1 rounds it was pretty clear imo he lost round 1 and won the last 2 rounds jacare is an absolute beast and would maul bisping tbh.... bisping knows romero is probably his only shot to beat in the top 4 if he can survive the first few rounds and gas him out then beat him by an accumlation of shots..

RDA vs larkin would be amazing... but im not sure if the monsoon will come back to the ufc

ive been watching the champ camp youtube videos and actually have been starting to really like tyron woodley for me.... i just like his personality and work ethic and how real he is, but i could see your point of view as well... IMO if i was in his shoes i would rather take maia or a super fight as well ,hes thinking of this as a business decision , to me he beat wonderboy ( very debatable ) but he ended off with the belt and he wants somebody else then he said he would fight wonderboy again after that and he beats somebody, kinda shady because it was technically a draw but i honestly had enough of these rematches . Hes not calling out complete bums or i would tend to lean your direction more but hes calling out the top contender maia, a legend in GSP , a super fight with the champion a weight above him ( nick diaz fight is where i draw the line ) but if he was to fight maia i could see his point of view , imo a much easier more winnable fight where hed take no damage win or loss since hell win or get subbed , then get in a most likely drawn out war with wonderboy , woodley isnt to young and has a good amount of fights this is his small window to make a living and support his big family so i understand what hes doing some can say its dodging fights but imo hes not scared of anybody and he did a ton more damage on wonderboy then he got done to him so ..
end of the day i wouldnt be to mad if the rematch happened but id like to see him vs maia or GSP but thats just my opinion , i know friends who wanna see the wonderboy rematch as well

Just think all those matchups are easier fights. IMO Champs shouldn't be dodging contenders when the UFC wants to make a fight, especially as a PPV headliner.

i get your point to , but realistically tyron woodley isnt a big enough draw in the end to say which fight he wants, in the end whatever fight the ufc wants him to take he will more then likely take... from what ive seen its 50-50 people wanting the wonderboy rematch and the other 50 wanting to see maia finally getting his shot, either way cant go wrong maia has been starching people to , its definitely an easier matchup style fight but overall maia is elite right now at 170... then calling out GSP i completely agree with he wants the biggest name and a legend whos still around his prime age ...

ufc is half a sport and half entertainment at this point, it sucks but its the truth ... prime example is tj dillashaw not getting his title shit when he was a champion, lost a razor close decision then beat a number 2 contender and still didnt get the fight because cody had all the hype...

cant agree on the connor point though, he is one of the most true fighters in the sport imo, hes just at the point he cant choose whichever fights he wants, i truly believe he would fight anybody at any weight, he showed he was a true fighter after losing to diaz taking the rematch right away most people would make excuses and be scared after losing in that fashion but he came back and won , one of the best wars of the entire year ... anybody could say youre dodging fights but when theres 50+ people in each division with 5+ elite guys plus other weightclasses you cant fight every guy in one night, then people move around in the rankings , add in drawing power and other things .. its not always dodging fights its just time and place , mcgregor took on mendes the best wrestler at 45 who absolutely wrestle fcked and starched clay guida who was one of the elite wrestlers at 55... and took him on short notice while he was training for a striker and had an injury.... after examples like that even if you hate the guy you gotta show respect imo, he couldve taken the floyd route and dipped and dodged fighting bums and wait to fight the names when theyre old but he took anybody , anytime... people saying aldo sucks because he got ko'd he didnt lose before that in forever and was a P4P great , then beats frankie edgar a ufc legend after and looks great.... might sound crazy but if he actually got that khabib fight i could easily see him winning that

Fair points all around. At the end of the day, the UFC is a business that wants the most marketable fights even if they are not necessarily champs fighting the guys that fans think are the best.

Woodley just said on Ariel helwanis show he has multiple contracts at his house and wonderboys is on the bottom of the pile so.... he said he'll announce something today and wants to fight in march

also so I think Maia has a much better shot against wonderboy , I think he'd lose both but I'd say he has a much much better shot getting wonderboy to the ground and if he does it's over... I think Woodley would easily stuff his takedown attempts and he'd get desperate then tkod , either try throwing a kick which is basically his only good standup weapon and get countered by a straight or just get bullied shooting for takedowns getting pushed away and a heavy hook landed since Woodley wouldn't jump into his guard even if he's hurt...

maia made me eat my words versus condit though but I think Woodleys probably the worst matchup for him at 70 because how short he is and his wrestling credentials .. wonderboy match would be the classic striker vs grappler though I'd be super interested to see how that would play out
