#144Sounds like Mir means business to me -
Me couldn't resistsssss. Besides the straight play and parlay already pending I also hit these little bad boys below.. Hit the sub prop again for a benny even at +280 just now.. If Mir wins by KO instead I still win $160.00 with all these plays.. Had to do it!!
This is a 5 round fight and I don't think it goes the distance one way or the other anyways.. These are all my plays for the fight.. No hedge.. If the Hunt ITD or KO prop was at +odds I would have.

Frank Mir to Mark Hunt: Tap to my submissions or put your career in jeopardy

When it comes to the submission game, there isn't no one as confident in his skills as Frank Mir.
The former two-time Heavyweight champion and jiu-jitsu black belt has won many a fight thanks to his moves on the ground. He's also broken his opponents bones, as well, as Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira can confirm.
That's why Mir warns his upcoming foe via MMA Junkie, Mark Hunt, that if he wants to keep fighting, he better not think twice about tapping out if he finds himself on the end of one of his many submissions.
"I've worked a lot of leg attacks. I love leg locks and heel hooks and kneebars. They're complex and hard to avoid. I feel like if we get down to the ground, defending his legs is going to be very difficult, especially because his main concern is getting up - not worrying about his feet. I have the hip drive that when I grab something, it's not going to be uncomfortable. He's going to have to make the decision of it he wants to continue fighting or go ahead and lose that fight. When I say continue fighting, I mean if he taps, he can continue on (with his career). Kneebars and heel hooks at his age could take him out of competition for an extremely long time."
As we've seen in the past, "Super Samoan" is somewhat susceptible to submissions, with six of his 10 defeats coming via tapout.
Of course, Mir has to take the fight to the ground first, and avoid getting clobbered by one of Mark's heavy fists which have proven time and again to posses one-punch knockout power.
Mir and Hunt will headline next weekend's (Sat., March 19, 2016) UFC Fight Night 85 event from Brisbane, Australia,

#145What else is mir gonna say? He can't say he's gonna knock Hunt out, people would laugh him out the buildng lol he think he can take Hunt down, I know he's wrong, and after two rounds, the juicer will be sucking wind. All you have to do is watch Mirs last fight, and you'd know this is a very clueless bet..mir either gets kod late 3rd or he survives 5 and hunt wins the dec. Mir is a pretty durable guy, so I'm hoping the bum can fight smart and last 5 rounds, so my hunt dec prop can cash.Comment -

#146That's what they said about Duffy too..
Mir has actually never been knocked out cold when you think about it.. He's been hit and dropped and then fetals up to be pounded out but that was along time ago.. He's recently gone to decision against some heavy hitters in Arlovski and Reem as well and wasn't put to sleep... Mir has a better chin then most people give him credit for and now has decent head movement.. Josh Barnett was the last to KO Mir with strikes and that was by a monster knee not a punch and he still wasn't out cold in that loss.. His recent losses were against the best in the division. http://www.sherdog.com/fighter/Frank-Mir-2329
Mir I'm sure has been watching tape on Hunt and knows whats coming.. I can't imagine 42 year old Hunt out working Mir to a decision win either in this fight. Mir has been sitting down on his punches lately and has looked improved standing fight to fight. Mir packs some power himself and I won't be shocked if he dropped Hunt late in the fight.....
Frank Mir is simply more athletic then Mark Hunt and should be better in every area at this point in their MMA careers.. Age is catching up with Mark Hunt now as it does with every fighter after 40..I think it's Frank Mirs fight to win if he can get out of that 1st round.. One take down late and this fight is over for Hunt as well.
Could be some live betting action to be had in this one actually..
Frank Mir has fought the best in division.. Short best highlight vid of him.. Check..:

Mark Hunt could not drop Big Foot over 5 rounds but Mir did in 1.. He's got some pop in his punches..
It's more likely that Mir grabs a single and takes him down that way at some point, or he will atleast try early on I think.... Like when Roy Nelson took Hunt down for a brief time.. If Roy Nelson could take down Hunt then there is a reasonable chance Mir can as well..
Mir has a better gas tank then Nelson and is much more athletic so don't even try to compare the 2.. Mir has a better MMA ground game then Roy Nelson as well.. He'll finish where Roy could not..
It's fair to say Mir has probably been working hard on his TD's in this training camp leading up based on those recent comments of his...Comment -

#150I think if Hunt is to win it probably happens in the 1st round.. Catches Mir on the chin early on before he is gassed out..
I'm actually still considering this as a hedge play for all my Mir bets.. Need to ponder on it more though.. Could be a game time decision still after weigh ins..

#158An in shape Hunt gives anyone a hard time in this division. I salivated the time he fought Big lazy Country. One guy with exceptional hands who can knock out anyone against a guy with a big slow overhand right who knocks out guys who never ever should hold up their fist like they somehow know how to box. Again tho i had to worry if that fuk Hunt was in shape. Any of u guys have anything about Hunts training for this one? Mir is a mess now and i wouldn't be surprised if he gasses before Hunt. This dude was the steroid king. Gave some great memories tho.Comment -

Good call on that fight Thor!!! You nailed that I remember..
If Hunt can walk down Mir with the jab like he did Roy all bets are off.. I think Mir is a bit to agile and smart to let this happen..

#161Nope you're wrong about those dates.. Nunya was still logging on and present long after that date and when I was SBR PRO..
Where is Nunya today Beelz? He probably doesn't even gamble anymore due to all his bad karma building up... He had everyone come over to ODDSBEAST and follow him.. Many did and he disappeared off that forum too.
For the record I never hated MD or Nunya and still don't... I did learn alot from those guys about how the gambling industry works... I was more disappointed then angry with Nunya after the stiff job..Comment -

#164Jibby, it's a lock this isn't finished in the first round, mir knows he needs to by his time and try to find a sub, he's not gonna ingage much in the striking with Hunt the first Couple rounds, hunt has never been tapped to leglock, and he hasn't been subbed or finished under 1.5 Rounds since 2010.both guys are durable and mir will look to stick and move. This fight won't be finished till the 3rd round at the earliest, and it will either be finished by hunt ko or hunt dec victory, with mir sub having a 10 percent outside chance, because the chances of him even taking hunt down are jusr as low, mir will probable start trying to pull guard somewhere in the third round. The over 1.5 is a good hedge on your bet, do not bet either guy to finish in the first, you will only lose more money then your already losing...Comment -

Prelims part 1 - MMAmania. I like this guys write ups on the prelim fights.
<small>UFC Fight Night 85 - Lightweight 3 rounds - Brisbane Entertainment Centre - Brisbane, Australia - UFC Fight Pass</small> Sat 3/19 2001 Chad Laprise <input id="editx" name="M1_10" size="4"> -120 <input id="editx" name="L1_10" size="4"> o2½ -240 7:30PM 2002 Ross Pearson <input id="editx" name="M2_10" size="4"> +100 <input id="editx" name="L2_10" size="4"> u2½ +200
170 lbs.: Ross Pearson vs. Chad Laprise
Ross Pearson (18-10) http://www.sherdog.com/fighter/Ross-Pearson-11884 has alternated losses and wins in his last seven fights, although the first loss was a horrific robbery against Diego Sanchez. His last two efforts have seen him upset Paul Felder in Vegas and drop a decision to Francisco Trinaldo in Boston.
He has knocked out seven opponents and submitted another five.
Chad Laprise (10-1)http://www.sherdog.com/fighter/Chad-Laprise-69681 smashed his way through The Ultimate Fighter (TUF): "Nations," taking home "Fight of the Season" and one of the two "Performances of the Season" before ultimately beating Olivier Aubin-Mercier to win the show. Decision wins over Yosdenis Cedeno and Bryan Barberena followed before "The Disciple" ran afoul of Francisco Trinaldo, who dropped and choked him out in the first round.
He stands two inches taller than Pearson at 5’10."
Laprise has demonstrated solid hands and decent wrestling, but Pearson is a huge step up when it comes to striking. The Canadian doesn’t have the power of Al Iaquinta, the overpowering grappling of Evan Dunham, or the raw strength of Trinaldo. He’s almost certainly going to wind up boxing with Pearson, a recipe for disaster.
The Brit, inconsistent as he is, remains one of the division’s best counter-punchers. Expect him to tag Laprise with increasing success as the fight progresses for either a late technical knockout finish or unanimous decision.
Prediction: Pearson by third-round technical knockout
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
145 lbs.: Daniel Hooker vs. Mark Eddiva<small>UFC Fight Night 85 - Featherweight 3 rounds - Brisbane Entertainment Centre - Brisbane, Australia - UFC Fight Pass</small> Sat 3/19 1701 Mark Eddiva <input id="editx" name="M1_7" size="4"> +170 <input id="editx" name="L1_7" size="4"> o2½ -140 9:00PM 1702 Daniel Hooker <input id="editx" name="M2_7" size="4"> -200 <input id="editx" name="L2_7" size="4"> u2½ +120
Daniel Hooker (12-6)http://www.sherdog.com/fighter/Daniel-Hooker-45122 made an immediate impression on UFC fans with a brutal mauling of Ian Entwistle in his promotional debut, extending his win streak to six. He’s since gone 1-2, an upset knockout of Hatsu Hioki sandwiched between losses to Maximo Blanco and Yair Rodriguez.
He has earned stoppages in each of his last seven victories.
Team Lakay’s Mark Eddiva (6-2)http://www.sherdog.com/fighter/Mark-Eddiva-75370 surprised many in his Octagon debut by dominating Chinese standout Jumabiekke Tuerxun in Macau. He’s since fallen on rather hard times, losing an epic slugfest with Brazil’s "Kevin" Souza and a grinding decision to Levan Makashvili.
He will give up four inches of height to the 6’0" Hooker.
This honestly might wind up being a lot closer than the currently-lopsided odds would suggest. Hooker is phenomenally tough, sure, but isn’t outstanding in any area of the game outside of power and sheer durability. Eddiva packs some solid striking and decent takedown defense -- he has a very real shot at the upset if he can keep it standing.
Still, Hooker’s got grit for days and is the more well-rounded combatant.
The Kiwi has some power and has proven fairly destructive from top position, not to mention his pressure and volume. I expect him to outwork Eddiva from the clinch and on the mat to take a competitive decision.
Prediction: Hooker by unanimous decision
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
135 lbs.: Leslie Smith vs. Rin Nakai<small>
UFC Fight Night 85 - Bantamweight 3 rounds - Brisbane Entertainment Centre - Brisbane, Australia - UFC Fight Pass</small>Sat 3/19 2101 Leslie Smith <input id="editx" name="M1_11" size="4"> -160 <input id="editx" name="L1_11" size="4"> o2½ -200 7:00PM 2102 Rin Nakai <input id="editx" name="M2_11" size="4"> +140 <input id="editx" name="L2_11" size="4"> u2½ +170
Leslie Smith (7-6-1) http://www.sherdog.com/fighter/Leslie-Smith-46542 entered UFC in the midst of a 1-3 stretch, but quickly proved her worth by battering Jessamyn Duke into submission midway through the first round of their July 2014 showdown. Jessica Eye proved a more difficult test, as "Evil" Eye burst Smith’s cauliflower ear to force a stoppage.
She stands a staggering eight inches taller than Rin Nakai (16-1-1)http://www.sherdog.com/fighter/Rin-Nakai-18887 at 5’9."
Japan’s Nakai ruled the roost in Pancrase before making her UFC debut against Miesha Tate in Sept. 2014. Nakai struggled with "Cupcake’s" stout takedown defense and superior striking en route to her first-ever professional defeat.
This will be her first fight since.
Smith is dangerous, but only if her opponent obliges her. If you stand in front of her and try to go blow-for-blow, her volume and power will win out. If, on the other hand, you keep moving, she doesn’t have the speed or ring-cutting to force you into her fight.
Nakai may have some pretty awful striking, but she’s in constant motion and relentless with her takedowns, which are generally successful when attempted against someone without Miesha Tate’s wrestling prowess. Smith fits that bill, so expect Nakai to grind her way to her first UFC victory.
Prediction: Nakai by unanimous decision.... Jibby doesn not like this pick or predicition!!!

<small>UFC Fight Night 85 - Lightweight 3 rounds - Brisbane Entertainment Centre - Brisbane, Australia - FS1</small> Sat 3/19 1901 Alan Patrick <input id="editx" name="M1_9" size="4"> -250 <input id="editx" name="L1_9" size="4"> o2½ -140 8:00PM 1902 Damien Brown <input id="editx" name="M2_9" size="4"> +210 <input id="editx" name="L2_9" size="4"> u2½ +120
155 lbs.: Alan Patrick vs. Damien Brown
Alan Patrick (12-1) opened his UFC career with a one-round drubbing of Garett Whiteley, then followed that up with a controversial decision over John Makdessi. A busted jaw kept him out of action for 16 months, after which he fell to Mairbek Taisumov in Berlin.
He has stopped six opponents, four via knockout.
Damien Brown (15-8)http://www.sherdog.com/fighter/Damien-Brown-62243 enters UFC as the XFC Lightweight Champion, a title he first defended one month ago. The Aussie has won five straight, four via stoppage, since 2014.
He replaces the transplanted Chad Laprise on a week's notice.
Brown doesn't seem like a bad fighter; he kicks well from the outside and has some decent punches in the pocket. The thing is, his recent competition has been garbage and he hasn't shown any outstanding skill he can lean on against Patrick.
The Brazilian's overall technique is rather lacking and I'm not sure he actually has a standout skill either, but he's big, awkward, and decently well-rounded. He's someone I could sum up as a "handful," just a disruptive and unpleasant person to fight against. Brown fought a debuting fighter three fights ago. To go from that to Patrick, especially on a week's notice, is too much. Patrick mixes up volume on the feet with a steady diet of takedowns for the decision win.
Prediction: Patrick via unanimous decisionComment -

#171Pearson 3rd round finish or pearson dec.....I wanted the over in this one, but I missed the opener....pearson hasn't looked good lately but laprise doesn't have the experience traveling that pearson does and laprise doesn't have the gas tank. It's a close fight though, but pearson having filmed TUF in australia and having the better gas tank, gives him the edge. Still unsure if I'm gonna bet it, but leaning pearson by dec and pearson 3rd round finish, maybe 450 on the dec and 100 on the 3rd round finish, nothing big because I always seem to be on the wrong side of a pearson fight....Both guys aren't that consistent in there performances, so you don't really know what you'll get from either guy, I wouldn't trust neither guy with too much of my money.Comment -

#174I believe training and living with Magny will really help hooker with his growth as a fighter and with using his reach advantage in this matchup, but I think he could end up getting into a brawl, and falling into old habits, and making this a split dec and closer than it should be, so I want him to prove it before I lay -200 juice on him.Comment -
