i was trying to stake it with my coinbase wallet and i couldnt. i jumped into their telegram and as soon as i said i couldnt link my wallet i got a dm from what looked like a moderator of the forum. we know the rest. my mistake im pissed i will eat it and move on

Too late now and not trying to rub salt in the wound but never click a social media link. Never connect your wallet to a site that you are not sure of. Never give out your seed phrase. Never open up anything given by free air drop. Biggie's Bonk Bot is legit.

Gosh so sorry for your loss. It happens to the best of us. I fell for a sneaky phishing deal about 5 years ago. I screwed up and someone got into my Binance (the old Binance) account. Right after I screwed up, I got to thinking and logged into Binance. Where's my ADA? Where's my BNB? I saw where someone had sold my coins for about $1500 worth of Bitcoin. The Bitcoin was still in there. I got it out quick. Not sure the hacker had a way to withdraw....

At any rate, it wasn't a loss, it ended up being just a premature sell. I reported all this to Binance and their response was to kick me off Binance. I couldn't log in anymore. Contacted them about it and no reply. Haven't used Binance or Binance US since...

I would add phishing emails in the guise of exchanges and hard wallets. Check the senders email - most of the scams have an email address that is slightly off. Some even use a damn Gmail account. If the email claims to be from Coinbase and the sender has a gmail account.... yeah.

Lots of scams out there right now. Some blockchains allow someone to send you 0.000001 of a coin only so you get see their fake message about an airdrop. There's a lot of that going around. Not much can be done about the fake messaging. A good wallet will block "dust" transactions. There's websites that look legit, yet they want your seed phrase.

FTX dumped $1B GBTC. The amounts that are being dumped is slowing down. GBTC has a big outflow, everywhere else there is an inflow. The parent company DCG may also be selling. As soon as the dumping stops bitcoin will start rising again. Whales throwing USDT on exchanges.

Do your best to erase debt in your life. Pay off that house/car/whatever if possible. If youi're a renter, have a plan to go somewhere else - a cabin in the woods, relatives, etc.
