    How low will Bitcoin go?
Anybody have any clue on when this falling knife will hit the ground?
I had just received a large payout the day it started falling and ended up taking about a $3k haircut on it. I can only imagine how much the books lost. Or do they cash out immediately? I redeposited most of my coins back in the books so they can deal with the current volatility. I wish the price would just stay flat..

Bitcoin was created in 2009 and books started taking bitcoin in 2011. Bitcoin isn't going away any time soon.

books are smarter then u think...they make plenty off juice of the lines..BTC just the best thing ever for them...no charge backs or payout issues and money easy in and out....they use 3rd party processor's for btc for most part...I'd like to see it drop to 400 and stay there for a while///btc is here to stay whether its 1 buck or 20 K

If anyone actually knows, please let me know as well Would be useful information!

Problem is whenever I look up on the internet about what's happening to bitcoin, I see several articles predicting it will hit 100,000 by such and such time and a bunch of other articles saying it will go below 1000 by such and such time. Seems like no one really has any clue is the logical overall guess. So can only wait and see perhaps!

Nobody knows. Nobody can know . Anyone saying different is just wishful thinking.

It appears that a lot of books use a 3rd party processor, though nobody knows for sure.

No one knows exactly when the dip will end but we do have a lot of history on bitcoin showing that this dip isn't unusual.

“This is about the fifth or sixth 75 percent-plus drawdown that we’ve seen in the 10-year history of Bitcoin. And so if you have that [long-term] lens, I don’t believe institutional investors really ultimately care where the price of Bitcoin ends in 2018, simply because they’re looking at things three to five years out.”

Same. Took my largest btc payout in a long time right before the crash started. On the fence about converting because I've lost a lot in the dip. Want it to go back up but don't want to lose any more either. There was a slight increase a few days ago and now its even lower. Ugh.

Consider it from the opposite end too, how comfortable would you really be with the risk/reward on shorting btc right now?

I hope it doesnt go below 2k but I'll be buying if it does. I dont see a rebound to 20k but I can see it pushing back to 6k by mid January.

                            News

One method for bitcoin is buy on news stories, ride the wave, then dump. This allows the very volatility that scares investors to work for traders. News events reminds people of bitcoins presence again and allows for small spikes in price. Especially when trading on exchange. Also of note is the tax issue. Perhaps being able to pay taxes with bitcoin. This story has made for greater impact increasing name recognition even among non-crypto users. Also take note that any major crypto story helps bitcoin since so many only recognize one name in the crypto industry. In conclusion, Bitcoin was made famous for being unregulated but may run again after regulation. The trend is definitely a friend but news events are the catalyst for quick profits.

As much as I'd love a bull run to kick in, I agree, 3k maybe even touch 2k.
