I try to go with the early line movement in hopes of catching better numbers... but sometimes it has worked against me. If the later movement does go against me... I simply hope for the best. Friday for example... the money was coming in on the Marlins... but the Phillies still came through for me. Should I start getting consistently hammered by the late movement... I'll change my betting strategy.

Mine has now gone to Arizona (-106) and (+1.5/-240). They fell into the same category as the Phillies did last night. I wanted them to become a favorite... so I could catch them on a sweet + money Run Line. They did... and we cashed even though everyone was betting on the Marlins. Same thing's happening tonight. I managed to catch the D-Backs while they were + money on the RL... and now they're a dog. It's simply me rolling the dice... wouldn't have been interested in Arizona at all had I not caught them as a + money RL favorite.Comment -

True... but not one that I am going to want to remember.
At the moment I'm a little irritated because my sportsbooks website is down... so I can't get in to see what the lines are for potential plays. So... I'm gonna sit here with a mug of coffee and a pack of Marlboro Menthol 100's and sat around here listening to classic rock until they decide to bring it back online.Comment -
That's just me being hard-headed... I don't wanna have a negative balance...so I keep playing what I consider to be the total with the best value. If I can ever get to even in the Totals category... I'll probably never post another one. (Wished I had never posted one to begin with.)

My Run Line plays are an addition to my moneyline plays. You don't have to hit a high perentage to come out ahead.... about42% will put you at + money. You've probably noticed that I won't play any favorite that is more that -1.40 on the moneyline. Anything above that means you have to hit a really high percentage of your plays to stay ahead. For the most part... I play dogs and favorites that are less than -1.20. If they're above -140... I'll only play them on the Run Line if the value is there. But... that's my system.

Well... that's where I may be a little different than most handicappers out there/on this site. I'm not a big believer in trends and I do my best to avoid them... prefer to not have my judgement clouded. If I had followed trends during football season... I never would have bet on UAB to beat Southern Mississippi straight up. I'm more of a *seat of the pants* type of guy.
