#150My spreadsheet is calling for a NO on both late games...
CWS/Tor being the better of the two. Although morrow is currently pitching 50% Yes/No over 6 starts and a mediocre whip of 1.4. Combined average runs score is over 1 which suggests a yes... barely. Wind is blowing in towards home from right... depends on if the dome is closed or not as to if this is a factor. Odds are favoring a NO in this match-up.
Arz Col have 2 pitchers that have not had many starts yet and are currently combined running 50% Yes No 1st inning. Wind is blowing out to right at about 12mph. I would avoid this game altogether.
I am not playing either.Comment -

#153Right now I am looking at average runs per 1st inning both total and home/away. I am also using umpires, team totals vs right/left pitchers, grass/turf and day/night. I will be adding ballpark and weather. What I am still working on is how much do thse factors contibute to the outcome compared to the pitcher's first inning stats which I feel is still the biggest factor.Last edited by doubledime; 05-26-11, 07:51 PM.Comment -

I wish i can contribute some way but you are just way above my head on 1st inning score/no score.
Thank you and keep us posted.Comment -

#158Im going to make this easy on myself... too much to type for 15 games...
This is the breakdown of what everything means on my spreadsheet
L= Lean. I have 11 categories that tell me yes or no... Whichever side has more gets the lean
W= WHIP Less then a combined whip of 2.8 = no
% = Combined yes or no percent. 65% or more of 1st inning No = NO
S= Combined Runs scored in the 1st average. Less than 1 = NO
A= Combined Runs allowed in the 1st average. Less than 1 = NO
So the larger number of categories mean a stronger play. eg L/W/%/S/A for a NO is a strong NO play.
The highlighted yellow plays are what does to the record... they are the ones I have bet.
Here is a the link send me a request and I will add you

#161I think you should stay away from yes/no in first inning game of TEX/KCR and FLA/LAD and put down a heavy bet on TEX/LAD to score 1st in the game.Comment -

#165In the airport with limited time. I pretty much agree with jnsb plays after using my filters. Philly/NYM have a high first inning run average but the 2 pitchers are combined 17-0 to the NO, so am playing it. I_WILL_WIN, welcome to the thread. My feeling it's just going to get better. (no pun intended) Good luck to allComment -
