Kind of a large card today including two plays on the Oakland game that I booked BEFORE the pitching change...got a bad price on the A's, but a good price on the total:

    SF/SD Under 7.5 -115
    LAL/TB Under 8 -115
    Red Sox -155
    BOS/CLE Under 9 -115
    Athletics -120
    OAK/TOR Over 8.5 -120
    Mets +185
    Astros +151
    LAD/COL Over 8 -115
    PIT/STL Under 8.5 -110

Come on Cubs bullpen...lol, please don't do what I think you're about to do...

Shame too, because Cashner pitched a beauty today. Hope he's not out for too long.

        Today: 5-4-1, +0.95 units
        Overall: 12-8-1, +6.51 units

Had a couple games get away from us, but take my advice...NEVER be upset with a positive day.

          Mets +145 (2 UNITS)

4-0, +6.45 units in the early games, boys....these are what I like to call the "no sweat days". Time to kick back and relax for the night games.

                      Dodgers/Rocks went OVER. Isn't it 3-1?

Still a great start on your day.

4-7, isn't it? I double checked too..maybe my feeds are stale or something strange like that? Thanks, though!

OOPS! Dammit, I logged a play on the over, but wrote under in the thread. Careless careless mistake.

I will grade it as a loss in this thread, but will post the ticket:

Above is a link to a screenshot of my mistake lol...just to let you all know that I'm honest and not yanking any chains around here. That is something I really want to stress this year in my thread: just honest, quality information and opinions that everyone is welcome to add!

                                Thanks everyone.

Apparently I jinxed myself earlier. I'll end up positive for the day in my books, but here I will most likely be negative for the day due to my dumb error. Plays will be graded shortly.

                                    Today: 4-5-1, -1.85 units
                                    Overall: 16-13-2, +4.66 units

Amazing what a 2 unit swing will do to your bottom line. My posting mistake cost me 4.3 units (I'm actually up units for today, but will be honest and post a loss on the COL over).

Hope everyone had a good day. Will be back tomorrow morning with more plays.

Don't sweat it, mebs. It happens. Probably won't be the last time. Doing a baseball thread - if you take it seriously - is a load. That's exactly why I don't do it any more. It can actually interfere with your handicapping at times. There's enough to do with handicapping, shopping prices and getting your own plays in. If you enjoy doing it I understand - but don't bank on many here appreciating it - you'll be disappointed. Sweetjones55 is the best NBA capper I have ever known. He bends over backwards for these guys and they only put more demands on him. And many give him shit if he loses a couple. I often wonder why he does it. A good capper doesn't need it. Nothing to prove.

Good luck. And don't take the thread too seriously. It's not worth it.

That is one way to look at it. But the way I see it, I have gotten so much from this forum, this is a way to give a little back while learning even more.

The learning never stops in this life...

Had a rough day and the Orioles are just completely on fire right now. They hit when they need to hit, and they get good pitches when they need them.

Strange news in the baseball world today, Manny Ramirez has decided to retire as an active player because of an issue involving the league's drug use policies. There isn't much information available yet, but without ManRam, are the Rays in serious trouble? There is no doubt that the young arms in the starting rotation will have to carry this team on their backs...at least until Longoria comes back.

At one point, I tried going back and rating his plays by giving him a z-score or measuring how well he beat the market price, but he never posted the price he got...so that was impossible.
