It is Cito Gaston's last night at ever as a home coach/manager. He is a very well-respected man across the league and there willl be a big ceremony for him and all and i'm thinking that maybe this pitching matchup was changed from the best NYY pitcher to arguably the worst to give Cito a final home win and farewell. I think they did this all the while knowing that half the public at least will still pound NYY cuz of the league position they are in and necessity to win games from herre on in.... tell me im crazy
      Dude. You are the best.

NC, man I'm no expert, but you talk yourself outta more stuff than anybody. Line movement doesn't mean everything. It's not like you're expecting to hit 70% anyway. You're just trying to find value and hope it goes your way. Does anybody here think books actually know the outcome beforehand (w rare exceptions)? They may shade a side but that doesn't mean it's a winner. You know your stuff so roll with it bro.

Edit: This really pertains as much to all your threads as this one

Course, if I had done that, I'm sure the Yanks would've won like 3-2. You know how it goes -- baseball always manages to make you sweat the big bets.

True but you made the right call. The jays had to win it for Cito.

That, plus NYY is now 0-9 L-9 vs. lefty starters, Cecil owned them this year, and Vaz is a glorified batting practice pitcher.

Almost looked too good to be true.

Never would have known to bet this game if it weren't for your write up. Cito's last game, celebration ceremony. If I were the Jays I wouldn't follow that up with anything but a stellar performance. Combined with NYY's recent history against LH pitchers and the pitching lineup in general, I just felt like all the angles were there.

Pitching change off of Pettite to arguably one of NYY's worst? "No coincidences"
