King, I have not done so regularly. Yesterday it went 2-0, but there have been some losing days also. One could probably back test using 3.5 runs unless the total is 10 or above when the total is 4. On occasion the second half total goes above that in Colorado. If I have time I will start tracking. I actually have some possible angles on second half totals that use more metrics that just relievers that I may post soon.

Good evening,
For those new to this thread I would like to explain a little about the plays we post:
Regular Plays:
These are based on several handicapping metrics such as, starting pitcher, relief pitchers, right left , home away etc. match-ups, umpires weather and others.
Reliever Plays:
These are based solely on the bullpens. Their ERA and their rest/work the last 1 day and last 3 days.
xFIP Plays Sides first 5 innings:
These are based on the expected Fielding Independent Pitching. (Google it) That's all, no other metrics. As of now we are just tracking these.
xFIP Plays Totals first 5 innings:
These are based on expected Fielding Independent Pitching. That's all, no other metrics. As of now, we are just tracking these.
VMI Plays:
These are base solely on the VMI (Visual Memory Index) of the teams, no other metrics. Google this for a more detailed explanation.
I hope this helps.

Brewers will kill NYU although we did go 23-13 this year. We also just had our second ever player get signed by a MLB club since our DIII program restarted in 2015. We were DI prior to 1975. Alas, those were the days.

I have a quick question. First let me thank you Doubledime for all the hard work. At what point is the bet no longer valid? An example: today you have SD/Phi Over 8.5. My book has it at 9. Would that negate the bet or is there a margin of error?

Good question. In this example you have 3 options. Buy the 1/2, play it at 9 or pass. Earlier today it was -120 but at this time of the day, I feel the juice is too high if you buy the 1/2. (-135). When you go from over 8.5 to over 9 you only risk a push rather than a loss, so more than likely I would say play the 9.
Of course it would be different going from 9 to 9.5. In that example, if you play the 9.5, and it lands 9 you risk the loss, so I probably would buy the 1/2 or pass.
