After going 4-0 yesterday, let's try and sneak in another afternoon game today.
Minn. @ LAA 8.5
Nolasco going for Minn. is 4-5 with and ERA of 5.52, not exactly star numbers, but considering who he plays for he is a capable big league pitcher @ times. However, on the road he sports a 2-3 record with a whopping 7.11 ERA. Does not bode well for him against the hard hitting Angels, whom he has never faced.
The Angels rank # 3 in MLB in runs per game @ 4.79, behind only the #1 Oakland A's and the #2 Colorado Rockies.
They rank 4th in the league in hits per game @ 9.07, and are only behind #1 Colorado, #2 Detroit and #3 Baltimore, some pretty good company to be in.
Weaver is not the same domineering pitcher he once was, but can get the job done especially against medicore teams He sports a record of 7-6 with an ERA of a respectable 3.47. He also has handled the Twins well in his career @ 8-2 with a 3.5 in 15 games against, not bad, not great.
I don't find either pitcher do be dominant today but would rather rely on the bats in LA to get the job done. They have won the last two 8-6 and 6-2.
For what it's worth, probably not much, Minn. vs. the West is 4-11 amd LA vs. the Central is 12-5.
The lines are out and the team totals have found their way to the "tote" board. MINN TT 3.5, LAA TT 4.5
SUMMATION: LAA TT over 4.5
