I don't think so. I think in basenball you'd have to play with 8 players.

I'm not sure but I assume that if you have used all bench players and someone gets seriously injured you can replace him, although you may have to use the last guy to come out only, that is the way it is in basketball, if you have 5 guys left and a guy gets injured the most recent guy to foul out returns.

Is there ever an instance that a player who has been taken out of a game can return?

My brother seems to have bet that there is so now he needs an answer.
