These guys need their 'roids back
I know it's early and the weather is cold, but

Every game is 3-1 or 4-2, even with shitty No. 3/4 starters facing each other.

Bud let steroids run rampant through the game when it needed a popularity injection, he got the "chicks dig the long ball" era, made a fortune, then suddenly found his scruples re: steroids when the money and popularity returned. Now we get the aftermath -- a bunch of former "sluggers" who are suddenly struggling to hit .240 and can't bring a runner home from third to save their life.

Um, the Reds-Angels game was 5-4. And yesterday's Cards-Diamondbacks game was 8-9. Fail.

So you can point to two games in four days, and one of them has a whopping 9 runs? That's your rebuttal?

26 times already this season a team has scored 2 runs or less in a game. In four days. Think about that.

Fail again. Plenty of games yesterday. There were 9 games that went over yesterday.

Somewhere, I have a SportingNews article that discusses the dramatic dropoff of HR's since the late 90s and early 2000s. The league-wide steroid effect can't be understated when reviewing the HR totals. What's more, is that these drops in HR's have come amidst ballparks that have either reconfigured their OF's to be more HR friendly, or new BP's since the 2000's that have been built more HR friendly.

I'm not talking about O/U from a gambling standpoint. The books have had to adjust. I'm just saying that in general, these games are boring and punchless.

Yep, and it's not just power. These days, if you look at the AL or NL leaders in June, if you're hitting .300, you're in the Top-10. That's awful.

just watched the Blue Jays defeat the Indians 10-8.

Gotta say it was one hell of a game!

The low scoring games you are refering to were played in below 40 degree temperatures

Nothing better than runs being at a premium. Every pitch matters and one bad one loses the game
