yea those big runs lines are scary, but china is weak. I wont bet this game because sportsbook dot come doesnt even have a line for it, but i think under 9 looks good. Japan has a solid pitcher going, he wont give up many runs against china. I think anywhere from 0-2. So japan will need to score 7-9 runs to make this game go over.

I'm hedging out my bet. The offence of this year's Japanese team is just anemic.
If you can't even score 6 against China you deserve to be eliminated in the first round.

Kinda feel bad for John McLaren. He's trying to coach a high school baseball team or something.

I'm going to play a side and a total on the morning game between Korea & Australia.
Australia +2.5 (+111) Pinnacle
Korea/Australia u7.5 (-118) Pinnacle
Firstly I didn't like this Korean team this year compared to years past. Missing heavy hitters like Shin Soo Choo and Bum Ho Lee. Dae Ho Lee basically has no protection now. They looked completely disinterested in game 1 vs the Dutch and then the manager is forced to apologize to their fans. Korea has shuffled their batting order for this game but that just adds to the confusion. Catcher Ming-Ho Kang is also gone due to an injury in game 1.
The 2 starting pitchers in Ryan Searle and Seung-Jun Song have very similar numbers in A to AAA. The Aussies have 8 players with MLB experience while Korea has only 2. They are also known to upset favorites like beating Mexico in the 2009 WBC and also winning the silver in the 2004 Summer Olympics.
It won't feel much like a home game for Korea as they are offically the road team and the stands are probably going to be half empty in in Taiwan. It didn't work for them in game 1 probably not in game 2 either.
I betting on the Aussies to keep it close in a low scoring game but if anything goes awry I can just live bet it out like yesterday...If I don't fall asleep that is.

Ya, I'm fairly certain I'll be on the Dutch -1.5 too and Brazil -1.5 as well.
I'm still deciding on the Chinese Taipei/Korea game. Like I said I don't really like this year's Korean team.
Maybe Taipei moneyline but nowhere near for sure yet.

over 7.5 for tw v korea.
tw starter yang - lefty with fastball ard 145-155km/h but has control issues. might not give up too many runs but he not gonna stay in the game long with 65 pitches. weakest part in tw team is their bullpen(except their setup and closer) so look for korea to score some run between 4th-7th inning with their strong batting lineup.
kor starter chang - lefty fastball ard 140-145. currently under mandatory military service. playing baseball in the military. haven't pitch in higher level for a yr. tw crowd gonna raise his heart beat alot. most of power bat for tw are all right handed. yang, lin(OF), peng, lin(SS) & lin(C). korea had trouble recuiting their ace pitchers, therefore they have 1 of their worst pitching squad in decades.
2units bra -1.5
most of chinese players didn't even play a game last yr. their season was cancelled due to financial issues. in contrast bra beat panama to get in WBC and they'll make sure they are qualified for next WBC tournament.
2units tw o7.5

Totally agree, Korea/Taipai will be a close one. Total is toss-up too. Might just do live bet on this match. Gonna wait to see if the Dutch wins or not before playing this one but I' m banking on them to get it done.

hey do you know who are the starters for jap v cuba game? i really like cuba as an underdog. evenly match on pitching but they have better contact, power & speed than jap. how cubans handle the sold out crowd in jap will be the key.

Here's the scenario for the Korea/Taipei game:
Korea needs to defeat Taipei by 6 or more runs to win Pool B.
If Korea wins by 5 then Korea, Taipei & the Nederlands will go to a tiebreaker of (runs scored/innings of offense) minus (runs allowed/innings of defense)
Taipei wins Pool B as long as they don't lose by more than 4 runs. Nederlands will be the runner-up
This is the scenario for the Japan/Cuba game:
Whoever wins this game will win Pool A.
The loser will advance as the runnner-up
