The Italian pitcher, Alessandro Maestri, is probably the best native Italian baseball player in the world. Picked up late in the NPB season, had a 2.19 ERA over 8 starts for Orix in Japan.

So glad I had Taipei+1.5 instead of the ML. Lost the total though. Japan seems to always score late in games. Great opportunity for live bets in their future games.

I am leaning on the over. Pitching is just average and they play at Hiram Bithorn Stadium which is a park with a bit smaller dimensions. 325 down the line and 404 straight center. It's possible Spain could get mercied here as well. They were outscored 29-7 last 2 games.

Both teams have good offences and can put runs up in a hurry but when a team or both teams faces a must-win situation the total tends to go under and I'm gonna hope for that

This is really David vs Goliath here. The DOMs pounded out 13 hits and 9 runs against Venezuela's good pitching staff in a smaller ballpark. Spain is sending a rookie pitcher with 2 years minors experience and a whole bunch of players who is not even a citizen from Spain...go figure. One thing that worries me is Wandy Rodriguez. I don't think he has good stuff and I never liked him when he was with the Astros so I'm taking the o10.5 as well as a precaution so at worst hopefully I'll get a split. Also only 2 matches in this tourney finished with a spread greater than 8.5 so that scared me a bit but I think this one is going to end by mercy rule.

I wish the best US players would buy in for the WBC. I would love to see a USA Basketball type team out there. Hopefully the US will get through the first round.

The USA would have the best pitching squad but would still be behind dominican republic for batting.
Bottom line is the world is better at baseball then basketball.
