Well both are underdogs so going 1-1 wouldn't be such a bad thing.
Reasoning-
Cardinals just seem to be one of those annoying teams that makes it no matter how poorly they do in the regular season, they just seem to come around in big spots. I think Beltran is going to make a huge difference against Gonzalez tomorrow, especially given his post-season success. Holliday is a righty so he might also have a good game against Gonzalez. I think it's a really good spot given that the Cardinals are right hand heavy, and the fact that their power comes from the right side against a lefty should help them tremendously. Another factor is obviously the experience level in both clubhouses, I think the fact that the Cardinals are going for their second straight victory will help tremendously. Not to mention, Harper continues to struggle this series, the only person in that line-up that truly scares me is Zimmerman, occasionally LaRoche also.
Baltimore, I know I just talked about "experience" but this Yankees team had their chance to put this away, and in all honestly this series should be over if it wasn't for a blown save by Johnson. I think this Baltimore team is simply better, and the fact that they dominate close games really gives them an edge. This is going to be a great lefty-lefty match-up, but the Yankees line-up with A-Rod struggling is lefty heavy. With Cano, Granderson, and Tex(who hits better from the left side) in the line-up, I can see this game being very low scoring. I think the Yankees obviously have a slight advantage, but with a moneyline so high on Baltimore, I have to pull the trigger on this.
If I had to chose one it would be Baltimore, I think this is a game that they can win pretty easily. I think the fact that they went and took game 4 shows a lot about their ballclub. After a horrible collapse in game 3, it looked like maybe they were in for a big loss in game 4, but that's not the way Buck has managed this team. I really think that Baltimore feels like they belong there, which is surprising for a team that is never in this situation. From their game against Texas, I think they have looked like they belong in the playoffs.
Hammel looked pretty good against the Yankees in game 1 and I don't expect to see anything different. Sabathia in game 1 pitched into the 9th and I really don't think he does the same in game 5. I think his out of shape body is going to give him problems in this game 5, and I think he will be tired.
