about 7 years ago, I was betting WAY OVER the top of what I should have been betting, hit a rough spot lost it all; all CC maxed out, and no money in any of my banks. Depressed the shit out of me.
But it pushed me to go back to school and finish up. So now I have that going for me

By far and away Goldie, the sharpest thing you've ever posted. There should be 100 "Amen!" posts right after this.

Never heard that euphemism for gay prostitute before. Makes sense when you think about it though.

i had in 1985 lost my everything. My problem was Turfway horse track. I worked a job where we made money collections. I got way over my head and my mother loaned me 5000 to get out of the book.I had went thru 35,000 from inheritance before the loan. After my mother had loaned me money; i took one more stab at the track and lost it. I remember the feeling of puking my brains up outside of the race track. My father who was an alcoholic told me at least he could afford his vice. The horse track cost me 3 jobs where i made over 90,000 in the 80's. Yes I was a flucking degenerate gambler.

how old were you at that time? were you still living with your folks or something? how did you make ends meet at that point?
sorry, not trying to pry, but i always find such stories pretty shocking and am interested in how people recover from it.
