Another two former "Dana White's Contender Series" competitors will share a maiden voyage to the Octagon this weekend, with Borralho and Omargadzhiev meeting in a middleweight clash as the penultimate bout of Saturday’s bill in Vegas.

Both prospects earned their roster spots on the strength of emphatic first-round stoppages in 2021, albeit with far different methods. It’s hard to bet against the wrestler in matchups like Saturday’s, and I doubt Omargadzhiev will need long to catch Borralho overcommitting and bring the fight to the mat. Regardless of whether Borralho treats Omargadzhiev to a few stinging left hands or tries working from the outside, a few well-timed level changes from the Russian wrestler should put his opponent on his back.

Omargadzhiev’s smothering top game will keep his opponent there long enough for the win.
