My Premier League predictions and picks for Matchweek 24 headline Michael Carrick's Manchester United and Unai Emery's Aston Villa.
The Red Devils' camp is thus far enjoying its new lease on life, while Aston Villa looks to get back to winning ways at Villa Park. I'm also featuring Sunderland and an interesting match between Bournemouth and Wolves at Molineux Stadium.
🔮 Premier League predictions: Matchweek 24
Here are my Premier League predictions for Matchweek 24 as part of our soccer picks this week.
| Match | Bet | Odds | Confidence |
|---|---|---|---|
| Fulham vs. Manchester United | Manchester United ML & Under 4.5 goals | -102 via BetMGM | ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ |
| Brentford vs. Aston Villa | Aston Villa ML | +100 via FanDuel | ⭐⭐⭐⭐ |
| Bournemouth vs. Wolves | Tie | +260 via FanDuel | ⭐⭐⭐ |
| Burnley vs. Sunderland | Sunderland ML | -135 via BetMGM | ⭐⭐⭐ |
💰 Best Premier League bet: Manchester United keeps rolling with home win (-102)
Whether it's temporary or permanent, Manchester United is onto something. Carrick has changed the Red Devils' outlook since arriving, resulting in consecutive victories over Premier League title favorites Man City and Arsenal.
United's performance in London against Arsenal should fill supporters with confidence. They ended Arsenal's unbeaten run at Emirates Stadium, not only playing with confidence but in an organized, disciplined, and effective manner.
They should be up for a home test against Fulham and keep rolling, securing victory in a match with four combined goals or fewer.
🔥 More Matchweek 24 predictions
Brentford vs. Aston Villa pick: Villa to get back on track with home win (+100)
Everton ended Aston Villa's eight-match Premier League home winning streak, but I expect Unai Emery's team to get right back on track when they welcome Brentford to Villa Park.
Brentford has lost five of the previous seven away from Gtech Stadium and has the fifth-worst away record. One of their two wins in that stretch came against bottom-feeding Wolves. Villa, meanwhile, has the third-best home record.
Bournemouth vs. Wolves pick: Tie (+250)
Wolves have the worst home record in the top flight. However, they are unbeaten in two at Molineux Stadium, beating West Ham and securing a point against Newcastle.
They've been playing much better recently, including in their 2-0 defeat at the Etihad to Man City last week.
The Cherries haven't won in nine road matches, tying five and losing four. Only Manchester United has drawn as many away matches (5) as Bournemouth.
Burnley vs. Sunderland pick: Black Cats to win at home (-135)
Sunderland hasn't lost at home thus far, winning six and drawing five. The Black Cats welcome Burnley, the second-worst away team, to the Stadium of Light.
Burnley has taken just five points from 11 away matches, with one victory. That win came against Wolves, the Premier League's worst home team. I expect Sunderland to extend its home unbeaten run to 12 games and worsen Burnley's road migraine.
