On Friday, the Netherlands and France clash in the Euro 2024 Group D encounter at Red Bull Arena in Leipzig, Germany, and we have you covered with our Netherlands-France predictions and prop picks based on the odds from our best soccer betting sites

The Netherlands and France will renew acquaintances after playing twice in the Euro 2024 qualifiers, both of which were won by Les Bleus. Both teams won their Group D openers, with the Netherlands defeating Poland 2-1 and France edging Austria 1-0. Friday's match, kicking off at 3 p.m. ET from Red Bull Arena, could determine the Group D winner.

Kylian Mbappe broke his nose against Austria and won't participate in the contest. Both sides made our Euro 2024 Power Rankings, with France, along with England and Germany, being Euro 2024 odds favorites.

Netherlands vs. France score prediction

Netherlands 1 - France 1

The Netherlands are due for a solid performance against France. Neither team was particularly dynamic in their Group D openers, with Les Bleus relying on Austria's own goal to take all three points. They were unequivocally the better team but wasted several excellent opportunities to put the match out of reach.

Despite losing seven of the last eight against France, the Netherlands should enter the contest with newfound belief after scoring a late winner against Poland. Under 2.5 goals offers an excellent alternative if the 1-1 draw is too improbable for your liking. DraftKings offers that prop at -120, implying a 56.52% probability. BetMGM has the 1-1 draw at +550, indicating a 15.38% probability. A $10 bet will profit $55 if it hits.

Best odds: +550 via BetMGM

Netherlands vs. France anytime goal scorer prediction

Cody Gakpo, Netherlands

Predicting a goalscorer in this match comes with some challenges. I like Randal Kolo Muani to get on the board for Les Bleus. However, his place in the starting 11 is not guaranteed, as Didier Deschamps may opt for the tried and tested Olivier Giroud instead.

That's why I settled on Cody Gakpo, who scored Holland's first goal against Poland in the opener. He had 16 goals in all competitions with Liverpool in the 2023-24 domestic campaign and has an excellent scoring record on the international stage, netting 10 in 25 appearances with the Netherlands. At +290, FanDuel's odds represent a 25.65% probability. A $10 wager pays a profit of $29 if it hits.

Best odds: +290 via FanDuel

Netherlands vs. France best bet

Moneyline tie

France got the better of the Netherlands in both qualifiers, winning 4-0 in France and 2-1 in Holland. The script should more closely follow the latter, particularly with so much on the line. While France has more depth than the Pacific Ocean, nobody can replace Mbappe, who will most likely miss at least the rest of the group stage. Either Giroud or 25-year-old Muani will infiltrate the starting lineup in Mbappe's place.

I expect Muani to play as he offers a quicker, shiftier option against matchup against a big, strong, and burly Netherlands' backline. As good as he is, Muani doesn't offer Mbappe's cutting edge and pure superstar ability. France played decently against Austria but relied on an own goal to win the contest. Creating chances against the Dutch will be difficult, especially in Mbappe's absence.

The Netherlands should enter the match with elevated confidence after scoring a late winner to get past Poland. Those factors should contribute to a stalemate in this pivotal Group D encounter. Of our best sports betting sites, bet365 and BetMGM offer the most competitive odds. The +240 odds imply a probability of 29.4% and will pay a profit of $24 on a $10 wager.

Best odds: +240 via bet365
