I'm backing City, the -160 moneyline betting favorite, to make matters worse for the out-of-form visitors. The analysis below is part of the Premier League best bets series, offered weekly, which also includes a goal-scorer prop.

Oftentimes, clubs experience an immediate surge after losing their manager. Who knows what will happen in Chelsea's case, with Maresca leaving in the most acrimonious fashion.

Did he walk out, or was he fired? Let's let the lawyers handle that.

While Maresca's departure might eventually galvanize Chelsea, I don't see them taking anything from Sunday's match. The Blues have one win in the previous seven Premier League matches and are winless in three on their travels. 

Making matters worse, Chelsea hasn't won against City in its last 11 attempts. Pep Guardiola's side, meanwhile, have won eight in a row at home in the top flight and are unbeaten in nine in all competitions (8 wins, 1 draw).

Phil Foden, M, Man City (+185) ⭐⭐⭐

My first choice, obviously, isn't feasible in this scenario, as Erling Haaland's -160 odds to score don't offer enough value to take the plunge.

Foden offers a nice alternative, though, as City's creative attacking midfielder is on a goal-scoring roll, bagging six in the last seven games. He also scored when Man City last faced Chelsea in the Premier League.
