Our Sharks vs. Maple Leafs player props are anticipating bounce-back performances from a pair of Toronto Maple Leafs forwards when they host the San Jose Sharks tonight. Toronto is a -200 moneyline betting favorite ahead of puck drop from Scotiabank Arena in Toronto at 7 p.m. ET (ESPN+).

Expect motivated efforts from William Nylander and Nicholas Robertson after both were called out by head coach Craig Berube earlier this week. Our NHL best bets for tonight’s matchup also include a fade of Sharks sniper Macklin Celebrini against a Toronto defense that has been tough to beat lately.

⬆️  William Nylander player prop: Over 2.5 shots (-114) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

After going shotless in Monday’s 2-0 win over Tampa Bay - the fourth time in five games that he’s managed one or fewer shots on net - Nylander was demoted to the third line in Leafs’ practice on Wednesday.

The last time Nylander was called out by head coach Craig Berube, he responded the following game with a goal and two assists. Berube is apparently hoping for a similar response tonight, and Nylander acknowledged Wednesday that he needs to be more involved

FanDuel’s -114 odds were the best available on Nylander Over 2.5 shots, returning $8.77 potential profit on a $10 bet with an implied probability of 53.27%.

⬇️  Macklin Celebrini player prop: Under 0.5 points (+150) ⭐⭐⭐

Calibrini has cooled off considerably since collecting 14 points in a nine-game stretch last month. He’s scored just one goal in his last eight games, generated 0.2 expected goals or less in five of his last six, and been held to two shots or less in four of his last five.

Meanwhile, the Leafs have surprisingly been one of the league’s top defensive teams of late, allowing just five regulation-time goals in their last five games. They’ve also held San Jose to two goals or fewer in four of the last five meetings between the clubs.

At +150 odds, BetMGM is implying just a 40% probability that Celebrini goes pointless again tonight. A $10 bet can return $15 in profit.

🥅 Best Sharks vs. Maple Leafs anytime goal scorer prediction

🔥 Nicholas Robertson Anytime goal scorer (+370) ⭐⭐

With Bobby McMann serving a one-game suspension tonight, Robertson is projected to draw back into the lineup after sitting out Monday’s game as a healthy scratch. We have a couple of goal scorer picks who weren't recently in the press box in our best NHL player props today.

That wakeup call could serve as a spark for Robertson, who scored four goals in a seven-game stretch earlier this season and ranks third on the Leafs in expected goals per 60 minutes at 5-on-5. He could also have ample opportunity after practicing on Wednesday on Toronto’s second line with John Tavares and Easton Cowan.

Caesars is one of the best sports betting sites to bet on Robertson anytime goal at, paying +370, while most other books were offering +350. A winning $10 bet would return $35 in profit, although the implied probability of a Robertson goal is 21.28%.

Our Liam Fox backs Maple Leafs captain Auston Matthews to light the lamp as part of his NHL anytime goal scorer predictions today.
