NHL Parlay Predictions

Blues vs. Rangers Under 5.5 (-120)

We have a goalie battle at Madison Square Garden. Ville Husso (13-3-2, .935 SV%, 2.03 GAA) is confirmed to start for the St. Louis Blues and Vezina Trophy frontrunner Igor Shesterkin (25-6-3, .941 SV%, 1.95 GAA) should get the nod for the New York Rangers. These are the top two qualified goalies in the league in terms of save percentage, and two of the top four by goals against average (minimum 24 games played).

The Blues have been better offensively than the Rangers this season, and recently, with 41 goals in their last 10 games. However, Shesterkin is a different animal. Furthermore, the Blues average 3.58 goals per game this season but that drops to 3.28 on the road.

The Rangers have struggled to find the back of the net this season. They average 2.89 goals per game and that's dropped to 2.40 over their last 10 contests. That includes two goals or fewer in five of their last six games.

On top of having two of the best goalies in the league, the Blues and Rangers are both in the top 10 for expected goals per 60 minutes at 5-on-5 over their last 10 games. It should be a low-scoring affair in New York to start our NHL parlay picks.

Sabres vs. Maple Leafs Over 6.5 (-115)

The Toronto Maple Leafs have had a few wild games recently with three of their last four contests (and four of their last five) going Over 6.5 goals. Toronto has one of the best offenses in the league (3.68 goals per game) and has scored 40 goals across its last 10 contests.

On the other hand, the Buffalo Sabres are one of the worst defensive teams in the league. They allow 3.59 goals per game, 3.71 on the road, and a whopping 4.30 across their last 10.

Neither confirmed starting goalie has been particularly strong this season. It'll be Craig Anderson (6-7-0, .905 SV%, 3.01 GAA) for the Sabres while Toronto turns to Petr Mrazek (9-4-0, .895 SV%, 3.07 GAA).

The Leafs beat the Sabres 5-4 in November and we’re looking at another high-scoring affair on Wednesday for our NHL parlay picks.

Predators (-180)

Nashville has had a few days to shake off its loss to the Tampa Bay Lightning in the Stadium Series game on Saturday. The Predators are now in Seattle to face off against a much weaker opponent in the Kraken, and they're a safe addition to our NHL parlay picks.

Seattle has lost seven straight games (forcing overtime only once) and eight of nine since the All-Star break. The Kraken have the third-worst xGF% at 5-on-5 (44.77) over their last 10 games.

The Predators haven't been much better as of late with a 45.76% xGF across their last 10, but they've also been running through a gauntlet. The Preds played against Tampa Bay, the Dallas Stars, Florida Panthers, Carolina Hurricanes, and Washington Capitals in their last five games. They finally have an easier opponent and should be able to get the win.

The Kraken won the first meeting between these two teams way back in October, but Nashville had the upper hand in Seattle on Jan. 25, winning 4-2 despite a 35-27 shots disadvantage.

The Predators should have the advantage in the crease as well with Juuse Saros (25-16-3, .923 SV%, 2.46 GAA) projected to start against Chris Driedger (4-8-0, .893 SV%, 3.30 GAA) for Seattle.

Combined NHL Parlay Odds: Blues-Rangers Under 5.5 (-120) + Sabres-Leafs Over 6.5 (-115) + Predators (-180) = +433
