There are five games on the NHL slate today, and I'm featuring four of them in my NHL player props.
I covered the odd one out in my Penguins vs. Avalanche prediction. These picks feature a goal-scorer prop, two assist props, and a shots prop, along with a bonus pick for Artemi Panarin's return to Madison Square Garden. These best NHL bets are part of our daily series.

💰 Best NHL player prop bet today
Wyatt Johnston anytime goal (+135) vs. Mammoth
Wyatt Johnston and the Dallas Stars are flying, while the Utah Mammoth has been going in the opposite direction recently. Johnston is among the 10 most prolific scorers in the last nine games, netting seven.
While I love the hot streak, I'm as drawn to his recent record against Utah, with three in the previous four. And he's led the team in expected goals in two of the previous three, finishing second in the other.
Based on his recent form, I'd put his odds to score at about +125, and that's the worst odds I'd play this bet at.
🔥 More NHL player prop picks
Lucas Raymond Over 0.5 assists (-105) vs. Red Wings
It's about time the assists master breaks his five-game drought, and there are few teams better to do that against than a Calgary Flames team that is barely recognizable.
Raymond notched six assists in the last four meetings against the Flames and four in the previous two home games. That was before the Flames gutted their team. Since March 3, the Flames have allowed 32 goals, the most in the league. I'm expecting another tough outing from the visitors, music to the ears of Motown, Raymond, and the rest of the struggling Wings.
Jesper Bratt Over 0.5 assists (+105) vs. Bruins
Bratt is among the top 10 in assists in the last 10 games, and he's finally hitting the form most expected from him throughout the season. I love the way he's playing at the Prudential Center, with at least one helper in seven of the last eight.
Unsurprisingly, his current uptick in productivity coincides with Jack Hughes' return to the lineup. Go figure. The Bruins, meanwhile, have shown defensive vulnerabilities, giving up bundles of goals on the road recently.
The value is about where I'd place it, so I'd play it at even money (+100).
David Pastrnak Over 3.5 shots (-105) vs. Devils
Pastrnak is back to firing on all cylinders after a five-game Under patch. He hit the Over in four of the previous five games and is firing without hesitation, attempting 34 shots in the last five games.
That's a 6.8 shot-attempts-per-game average, just below his 7.7 average for the season. By the way, his 7.7 shots per game are the second-most. The Devils, meanwhile, conceded 30 shots per game at home in the last week. I'm all over this one, expecting another big shooting performance.
💡 Artemi Panarin player prop for return to Madison Square Garden
Panarin makes his return to Madison Square Garden to face the New York Rangers for the first time since he was dealt to the Los Angeles Kings.
Wouldn't it be fitting for him to score on his return? That notion helps considering he's found his groove in La La Land, scoring three goals since March 5. I love these type of picks as players often conjure something magical when they return to somewhere they devoted so much time.

💡 How I'm betting NHL player props today
Follow all of our NHL analysis and expert predictions this season.
The key thing about the first two bets is the matchups. It's why my confidence level goes from 4 to 5 stars. The Pastrnak and Bratt bets are 4-star picks because of both teams' inconsistent form.
In addition, Bratt and Pastrnak haven't played their best hockey against each other recently, so that also contributes to the slightly decreased confidence level. And it's why I've devoted only half a unit to them.
