Today's docket has me more excited than a Buffalo Sabres fan tuning in to see if their team can win the Atlantic Division for the first time.

With that in mind, I'm presenting a six-pack bonanza for my NHL player props. I'm headlining Nikita Kucherov, Connor McDavid, Rasmus Dahlin, Filip Forsberg, while also featuring Trevor Zegras and Adrian Kempe. All of my picks play for teams whose games are riddled with playoff implications.

💰 Best NHL player prop bet today

Nikita Kucherov Over 1.5 points (-120) vs. Red Wings

Kucherov has a couple more chances to bolster his Hart Trophy odds claim and catch Connor McDavid atop the list of scoring leaders. It helps that his team is still playing meaningful games as they fight for the Atlantic Division crown.

That scenario is complemented nicely by playing a Detroit Red Wings team that should be as flat as a Little Caesars pizza. Eliminated from the playoffs for a 10th straight season, I expect a listless outing from the down-and-out Red Wings.

If you need more ammo, Kucherov has at least two points in three of the four previous meetings with Detroit.

🔥 More NHL player prop picks

Connor McDavid Over 1.5 points (-118) vs. Avalanche

The Edmonton Oilers still have a shot at securing their first Pacific Division crown, and McDavid will not make things easy for the Vegas Golden Knights.

McDavid also has the good fortune of playing a Colorado Avalanche team with nothing to play for. They might even rest key players for the start of the postseason. As if McDavid needs any help in his quest to score two points or more, which he's done twice in the previous three contests.

Rasmus Dahlin Over 0.5 assists (-140) at Blackhawks

The Chicago Blackhawks have allowed 4.44 goals per game over the last nine, and they face the third-best offensive team in the Buffalo Sabres, who, by the way, are in pole position to win the Atlantic Division crown.

A win would lock up the division, so collective motivation will be high.

The Sabres have erupted for 14 goals in the last three games, providing the platform for Dahlin to get back on track. He has three assists in the last four games after a five-game stretch without notching one.

Filip Forsberg anytime goal (+135) vs. Sharks

Backing Forsberg over the last month or so has been more fruitful than digging into a tray of fresh mangoes. And, with the Nashville Predators desperate to catch the Los Angeles Kings for the final playoff spot, I don't think he's done yet.

Forsberg has 10 goals in the previous 15 games, and he's playing one of his favorite opponents, the San Jose Sharks. Forsberg netted nine times in the last seven meetings with the Sharks, scoring at least one each time.

The Predators need a big performance, which should spark the team's joint-leading scorer into action.

🚀 Best NHL parlay picks today

If you want to swing for the fences, get involved in the 6-leg play. The matchups are ripe for each bet to cash. But keep in mind the 6-leg parlay has just a 1.24% chance of panning out.

For those who want a more probable option, the 4-leg play has a 7.38% chance of cashing. While Forsberg to score is the least likely, he has eaten the Sharks alive recently.

💡 How I'm betting NHL player props today

Follow all of our NHL analysis and expert predictions this season.

I'm excited about today's action, thanks to several favorable matchups for teams in meaningful games. I've gone with three minus-money and three plus-money picks, banking on Forsberg and Kempe to stay hot.

McDavid should stand up as he usually does when the Oilers require. Dahlin has led by example all season, and he should be instrumental in securing the division for the Sabres. Zegras, meanwhile, has been a beast, and he has the Flyers on the verge of the playoffs.

The goal-scoring props get a half-unit, and the others get a full unit ($10).
