Matthews is making up for lost time and production, netting 10 goals in the last 11 games. That includes three in the previous four.
The Minnesota Wild have been tamed, playing as listlessly as an aging house cat. The Maple Leafs, meanwhile, are proving they are not the NHL's whipping boys. Did I mention that the Leafs captain has nine goals against Minnesota in the previous 10 meetings?

Hughes has six assists in the previous five games, notching at least one four times. He amassed nine helpers in the last nine and faces a Calgary Flames team that just lost Rasmus Andersson, one of their top two defensemen, to the Golden Knights.
New Jersey has played fairly well recently, and so have the Flames. But it only takes one flash of brilliance from the Team USA star, and he should have enough opportunities to make good in Calgary.

Crosby secured an assist in four of the previous five away contests and has two in the last two games.
The Kraken allowed 10 goals in consecutive losses entering tonight's home game. The Pens haven't been playing that well of late, but Crosby has enjoyed extended point streaks more often than not this season. I expect him to extend his current streak to three games.
